Smoktech Zmax Mini

According to Vapor Joe Smoktech are releasing a Zmax mini very soon.
Same specs as the Zmax 2, but mini size. Pic below:

I think they have some tough competition right now, but people have been saying they'd like to see one of these too.

Very cool man, thanks for posting. Ever since I got my Vamo I've been wishing my Z-Max could use a single 18350 as well.

From the picture it appears that the battery tube can screw off right below the button, in addition to the end cap screwing off. I wonder why they chose to do this, since the extension (the one pictured off to the side... for what? 18650? 18500?) looks to screw onto the base. EDIT: I don't know what I was thinking, at first it looked like there was a seam right below the button, now I don't see it anymore. Heh, I'm sure the extension does just go on the base then. Still curious if it's for an 18650 or an 18500, looks a tad short for an 18650.

Either way very cool and I think I'll be buying one when they come out. Hopefully they'll be a few bucks cheaper than the zmax.

I don't think the controller screws off. As you say it wouldn't make much sense unless they just wanted to release a modular design (which, seems to be a common practice now).

Does look like a nice, clean PV though.

I will be all over that. I like the Zmax a lot. Having a smaller devide to carry around at work would be great!

Well the latest word is they are going to release the TZmax - a telescoping Zmax. Not sure if they will also release the mini.

According to Cloud9 which has it in stock comes with 2 caps for 18350 and 18490/18500 is about 94 mm tall with 18350 cap on.
I like the zmax v2 and may get the mini as well when it comes to the states as the 510 connector assembly does not pop out when knocked over with a heavy genesis sitting on top unlike my Siegeli VW which i have and does.
Seems the smok zmax 510 assembly is 1 solid machined piece unlike the press fitted Siegeli.

Yeah it's working really well. I'm not a fan of the single button menu navigation, but I like the fact that it's alot shorter than the vamo when using the same battery size. In fact with mini zmax in 18650 mode it's only 3/4 of an inch taller than the vamo in 18350 mode.

The extension tube does work well, it is not the same as the vamo tube though (different size). Another difference vs VAMO is that it is not outside ego cone threaded, so my kanger EVOD does not screw in.
