I got my Vamo and DCT with the locking ring, and its great, save for one issue. If I screw the DCT all the way down on the Vamo, the draw is way too tight, like sucking a marble through a straw. The problem goes away if I back it off just a hair, but then the tank is wobbly on the threads. Is this just something ill have to live with? Or am I doing something wrong?

No, it's a flaw in the design of either, or both. I have a vamo and some udct tanks on the way. I plan to drill a few holes in the upper ring of the vamo, not sure if the chrome will chip badly or not though. The extra thickness of the bottom lock ring on the tank makes it thicker so it sits right up against most mods instead of the leaving an air gap that is normally present. Mods without vent holes in the top flange will all have this issue. The evic has vent holes so it will work. One work around is to not use the lock ring on the tank, which of course defeats the purpose of a locking tank, but at least you can use it.

I can tell you that some of the Vamo's are like this, some are not. I wish they were more consistent. The Airflow Controller does work great, but you could easily use a small cutting disc on a dremel or a small file to put a notch on the ring of your locking tank, that should take care of the airflow problem. Let us know what you end up with!

So you've tried the airflow controller? I'm thinking it could be a handy bit of kit to have around for a number of reasons if it works well; especially at that price.

Yes I do use it on some devices. It works well and doesn't add much length. It looks great with the chrome locking tank

Just my luck I get the one that is like that lol. Thanks for the advice! I think I might grab a file and notch the locking ring as you suggested. Next time I'm ordering something ill pick up one of those airflow controllers as well I guess.
