I loved The Monkees and I got to see them twice, but it was in later years, not during their heyday. I also saw Davy Jones do a solo performance at a casino. He was funny.

One time a few moons ago we were partying at the beach, had a keg and cranking some CCR tunes - the bars there were closing and one of the bands that had been playing heard it and joined us and we went from about 5 or 6 to about 30.
