I just picked up a aero tank yesterday and seem to be having problems finding a voltage that is good for it I also get more burnt tasting puffs out of it. the e liquid i have in it now is 20/80 vg blend and i have tried adding a few drops of water to it. I was just wondering if maybe the liquid is still too thick or i'm just having a wattage issue

Hey Blue, Nice to see another Niagara Vaper here. Full disclosure: I own the vape shop in Fort Erie. Drop by sometime!

Generally, for a 50PG/50VG e-liquid, the highest you want to go is 8 watts. To figure out the watts, simply square the voltage and divide by the resistance of your atomizer. So, if you are at 4 volts with your rev, and your atomizer is 1.8ohms, do (4X4)/1.8 = 8.9 watts.

For the e-liquid you have, a few things may be happening. First, the 20PG/80VG is a thicker liquid. This may slow the rate that the e-liquid flows through the wick to the heating coil. When this happens, it dries out and burns the wick itself, creating the burnt taste. Try reducing your voltage on the rev to get it down to 6.5 Watts or so. You may have to replace the atomizer to get rid of the burnt taste.

Another thing may be the e-liquid itself. Sweeter flavours may deposit residue on the heating coil, clogging it up and burning, with a resultant burnt taste. As you just started using it, I doubt this is the case, but thought I would mention it.

I hope this helps and let me know if you need any more help!
