i have the smy 260. Ima new experience modded that's why I went with a regulated device. But when I become more experienced I wanna do 260 watts right now I'm only at 130 but sometimes it says check atomizer and I mess with atomizer couple twist there and there. But I was wondering if I could get a spring loaded 510 connector for it ?

I don't think you can.

If it keeps saying Check Atomizer, there is an issue there. What tank or atty are you using? Is it rebuildable? What resistance? 130 Watts is A LOT of watts, especially for a new vapor.
I would first start by lowering your watts down to like 50 (this is assuming you are making your own coils on a rebuildable system). If you are using a tank with some sort of Replaceable coil - STOP. STOP now and learn what you are doing before you go Any further.
Step 1 - Done. You registered here.
Step 2 - Read. Read. And re-read.
Step 3 - Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators is a good resource to bookmark.
Step 4 - Slow Down - your not ready for High Watts yet.
Step 5 - you'll know what to do from here once you complete Steps 1 - 4.

Good luck. And may the force be with you.

I agree that 130w is quite excessive, but who are you to tell him what to vape at?

Also whats up with people assuming everybody is stupid. Its the same stuff in every thread. Dont you think he would ve complaining about wrecking his tanks after1 hit, if he was vaping a PT or ST.

Ahhhhh. Stop with this. Instead of saying this ask if he knows it. Worst thing about this forum.

As for as I know, SMY doesn't make replacement parts for their mods. At least I haven't found them on the website, yet. If you're handy with a soldering iron then fasttech might have a spring-loaded or adjustable 510 connector that fits. I've been toying with the idea of doing that with my SMY180.

I don't think you can.

Why are you assuming that he hasn't already read a bunch of stuff and tried to educate himself on issues? Is it because he wrote that he's new to modding? He asked for a specific question to be answered, not condescension. As far as his 'atty issue' goes, it looks like he already knows that it's a connector issue because of this:
sometimes it says check atomizer and I mess with atomizer couple twist there and there.
The GOD mods have an issue with some attys not screwing into the 510 connector properly the first few times. This can cause connection issues. I'm not sure why but imo it's probably due to the ego/510 threading that's used. My 454 does the same thing from time to time but my doge v2 works great on it.

Wh-.. What?

What?

...

What?

Why? Why do you want to vape at 260W? That's insane. That's absolutely insane. Nobody should be giving this guy advice on how he can vape at 260W, as harsh or unfriendly as it may seem, that is just excessive. Absolutely excessive.

To clarify:

More experience does not mean you should be vaping at higher wattages. If anything, with knowledge, you'll realize that lower wattages = more battery life, and less chances of getting a dry or burnt hit. I've been vaping for about a year and a half now, and I'm extremely comfortable at about 60W. I've built coils that can handle 150W, but it's such a waste of battery and effort, and it's impossible to stop a crazy high heat flux at that wattage.

Additionally, higher wattage does not, by any means, mean larger clouds.

That's just as bad as telling someone what they shouldn't be eating

I have an SMY 260 and I rarely ever go over 120 watts or so but that's just me. Remember the higher you go wattage wise, the faster your gonna kill your batteries. Its best to wrap a lower ohm coil and not have to crank your mod up so high, IMO. The device is designed to not let you do anything dangerous and I dont think you want a spring loaded connector for it. They are a PITA, IMO. It already has a fully adjustable 510. Just back out the copper positive post a turn or so with a small flathead screwdriver and that should fix your connectivity problems. Hope this helps.

Okay, so here's my advice.

At .65 ohms and 260W you'll be at 20A, the amp limit of most batteries (you'll be leaving NO headroom at this setting). You'll be pushing thirteen volts to your coils. You'll be lucky to get more than an hour or two of solid vaping out of your THREE 18650 batteries. You'll probably have to take 1-second pulls unless you use some crazy-thick wire, anymore than that will likely burn your cotton because it won't be able to properly juice your coils.

Yeah sounds like a great vape experience, good luck with that.

Damn, I shoulda waited for the 260. The 180 has a fixed pin which is a pita at times.

But it's his experience, not yours and he asked for information on the connector not your commentary on his experience.

Just throwing my two cents in. I have the God Mod 180 and the Megatron 260. I have vaped the God Mod at 180 watts and the Megatron 260 at 260 watts. I did it just to see what it was like and what kind of clouds it would make. After doing that I pretty much use them at 40-60 watts depending on if I have the Dark Horse RBA on it or the High Voltage tank. There really is no need for the high wattage. The good thing about these boxes is the triple 18650's. At normal wattages the batteries last a long time. As far as check atomizer that's usually means that it is below the allowed ohms. God Mod will not work on a build below .5 but it might work at .4 also. I found that on the RBA I use dual coil 12 wrap 24 gauge Kanthal. I will get check atomizer until I get the coils just right and reading .47-.5 ohms then it's fine. What I will say owning both of these devices is that there really is no need to vape at the High wattage and you can really hurt yourself or even burn your lung tissue if you are not careful. That being said be careful and enjoy your device ! They are nice looking and have found both the SMY and Megatron 260 to be so reliable they get boring lol

If you try vaping at 260 watts Im pretty sure your cotton is going to catch on fire. Vape however you want but make sure its safe. Not even cloud chasers vape at 260 watts. The most you could vape is a 1 second pull.
If you have a crap ton of wire you may in fact need that many watts. I maxed my sigelei 100+ on a 1 ohm build. While it was only 70 watts, it was 8.4 volts, so it wouldn't go any higher. Still not sure how that build loved the power, but is wasn't even that warm really. I only tried it that high for gits and shiggles, but somehow actually fell in love -_-

I personally know several cloud chasers here in Houston who regularly run at 260 while in a competition.
Have you actually tried it or are you just regurgitating some crap you watched on YouTube?

My guess: You're just vomiting over everything and have no experience at wattages over 125.
