I don't want to turn this in to a Gearbest-thread, but I've send them a message hoping they can clarify their shipping choices.

Back on topic; my mod-resistance is set to 0.0016, do you guys know if that is in the ballpark for now?

The mod has held up nicely over the first 24 hours. Great battery life (even though I'm using a brand new VTC6 on it's first cycle), very tight battery door, everything works as it should.

I would like a nicer fire-button but that's just me being picky and nothing but personal preference.

Normally I'm a bit more elaborate when describing a new mod but I really don't have much else to say about it. It just works as I would expect it to, boring isn't it ;)

My 510 threads on my SDNA 75W are a bit Janky already after barely any use.. :(
Hopefully can find a solution.. Good thing I lucked out and got it for $20 shipped but ecig.com are now out of stock, so a replace may be difficult.. Really like this mod too...

Easy setting to switch in Escribe, which is why I love DNA's! Nice mods btw! :thumb:

Thanks,
i have not looked at escribe yet but will eventually just not sure if i want to change anything as its kinda best of both worlds for me personally since i vape same type tanks and ohm but can see amps on 1 and battery% on another.
Another thing to add as i only vape in wattage mode what display shows in that mode and have no idea in other modes as i do not use TC type coils.

Smy displays far left battery picture then to right of that ohms then under that volts and under that % battery life
The Hcigar nano does similar with exception of the last line instead of battery % it shows letter A for amps

There are a surprising number of available options for those three display lines.
It wont matter to you (yet?) but the list of possibles differs between the DNA75 and the existing DNA200/133 boards. Partly due to the differences in daughter boards for the different number of cells. Can't say about the upcoming 250 and 60.
It and pre-heat are the two major items I wish could be adjusted in-mod without needing to connect to EScribe. Oh well.

Having the fine adjust is great, I dislike the 10 degree F granularity on all my other TC mods now.

Another welcome quirk...
There's no "5 click OFF" with a DNA... it's never really "off".
But that multi-click IS used to enter various menu modes... and IS user selectable.
I set all of mine to 3-Click. Just easier (or laziness). :p

I hope you get the 510 issue worked out. That's a great price you got it for. Every time I pass that site it's out of stock again. Is that a burr on the thread in that photo?

Sorry to hear that.
I just looked at my smy with a jewlers loupe as eyes are not that good anymore and noticed mine has a very very small piece in the thread little further back than yours with no pointy edge but not at the start of the thread like yours which can be problematic, mine cannot be removed as it looks like the tap somehow did not dig into the thread deep enough.
I did find a loose piece that was decent size and poked at it with a very thin bladed tip and it came right ou

Hope you can find a solution.
Worse case scenario if not returnable i have heard of retreader taps?- but have no idea if one can be found in a 510 size whatever that may be.

Dang, you guys made me look & it turns out there was a big metal sliver of about 5mm long hanging on to my threads. I removed it with a toothpick and there seems to be no further damage so I think I got to it in time.

This is a good thing to check for new owners before they start using theirs though. I imagine that that sliver that I removed was big enough to cause a ding like in @MikeyConti's thread if it got stuck between the mod & a tightly screwed on tank.

Not sure if your familiar with the Apsire NX75 that feature is adjusted in-mod via the onboard menu.
Its a very small mod as well just not as comfortable in hand due to being very square.

Also thanks for the additional information.

At first it looked like the start of the Threading started stripping off, used a magnifier and tried to get it out but it just broke of a bit and left the Burr(Or w/e the tech term is) there which will probably only get worse...

Its just one of those things that happen every now and again....

Edit* I always check my 510's first, idk what caused this...
Glad others were able to catch it and stop it before it could get bad! :thumb:

If you mean pre-heat... sweet.

We got a pre-heat update for our old VTCs this week, in-mod of course... hoping it gets spread to other JTech mods soon.
Yes can pre-heat for duration user sets or even start off lower then ramp up.
Have not tried but saw on one of the many different video's been watching , its in the included instruction pamphlet also.

Fixed in Escribe smy75 now goes in .1 watt increments and nano now shows battery % instead of amps.

I couldn't stand the new display on my Cuboid though with that update...

I'll try this from memory...

A week ago the VTC got, I think, 5.04 ( why "5"?) adding PH, this from 3.02.
Within two days... we got 3.03 which used the previous display layout but keeping the PH update.

Look for something similar for the other vertical screen (portrait) JTech mods... Cuboid, RX "S".

I'm hoping it can be incorporated into the old-school smaller landscape display mods as well.

I, too, had a loose sliver of swarf in my SDNA's 510, didn't think to mention it, figured it was an isolated case until I read the posts here about others having the same thing. Didn't see it until a small bit came out when I unscrewed an atty. Took a dental pick and it came right out. I was worried at first that the threads had been stripped somehow. Overall the threading is not smooth, looks to have been done w/the wrong feed speed, a janky tap, poor lube/coolant or some combo thereof. But other than that the mod has been stellar.

I'm also using the Evic VTC Mini 3.03 FW update. But for how I build and vape (single coil Ni200 @ ~.008 ohm/30w/400 deg. F), I really don't need any preheat. But nice to have it just the same- never know when I might break out an alien alligator guitar pick tank track stapled coil! haha

I just had a look, they have the update for the Cuboid mini as well but I think I'll pass with that childish new screen lay-out.

I don't use my other mods anymore anyway, now that @Jim_ MDP infected me with the DNA virus :(

FWIW I believe you can use 3.04 to get the preheat w/o changing the screen. 5.04 will add preheat AND the janky screen.
