Is this your first genesis vape?

IDK what most people do, but the first thing I would do (if you're comfortable with doing this kind of thing) is 1. take out the teflon insulator; 2. Wrap a solid, hole-filling 400 mesh wick; Re-coil that wick with 32 gauge wire (because it's going on a VV mod), wrapped tighter than the stock setup that comes with it.

But, that's just what I would do. Everyone will have a different setup.

wow I got ninja'd. Looks like you're doing what I would've done...

Dry it out and re-oxidize your wick, that's what I would do next...

Will do. I'm using the stove till red hot and quenching. Is that good enough to oxidize?

Just a quick update... So after re oxidizing and recoiling a million times, I decided to try low resistance 30g. Previously I was using 32g at around 2 ohms and was constantly shorting out. The minute I put on the 30, all the shorts went away. Hopefully it stays this way, I don't mind sacrificing battery life for an amazing vape. Thanks guys, I was really getting worried with my purchase.
