Snooty vaping hipsters.

I don't mean to offend anyone, and I kind of went on a tangent about this in the e-liquid forum when I mentioned 100% vg juice so sorry if it is repetitive, but I thought I'd mention it here. We have a vape culture here that really bothers me. The epitome of it would be this downtown craft beer bar/vape lounge full of condescending hipsters dripping. Anyone who does not drip is inferior, and when I asked if they have any vg-only eliquid as I have a hard time with pg-containing liquids, the employee told me vg-only is only for dripping (is that a pretty widely held belief? I use 100% vg in my clearo and it clogs coils up quickly but hey, I prefer the vapor). I do not drip because I have a 1 year old son and do not want bottles of liquid sitting around. Also, I am vaping as a healthier and, for me, cheaper alternative to smoking, and I get dirty looks for having an ego-style battery (vision spinner 2 is it right now, getting back into vaping after reverting to smoking for a while). It's not about the way people choose to dress, or the fact that they like craft beer, it's the fact that they are "cooler" than anyone who chooses differently. I don't think I'll ever go back into that shop because of the attitude.

Don't worry soon they will all switch to 100% VG because cloud chasing is too main stream. Thats why I use it; also, I get it for free.

i love craft beer, I drip, and id probably look like a somewhat hipster some of you might say. there are nice hipsters and mean hipsters, just like there are nice and mean old people, nice and mean moose, and nice and mean imaginary friends.

btw talk down on craft beer again and i will punch you in the face with a giant foam hulk fist. craft beer never did nothing to you.
I love craft beer.

Or maybe it would be more accurate to say that I HATE mass-produced piss-water.
And yet I vape on an Ego Twist with a standard 510 atomizer.

I am a conundrum.

I get what the OP and others are saying, its the same with cars, clothes, etc. There are going too be people that think that they are better or cooler because of what they have or can do better than you. I'm I budget vaporer spending $40 on a set up is like spending $400 and I get aggravated when you ask wiether its on here, at a shop or whatever you ask about a certine battery or tank you'll always have some one say you should get this which is way more than what I was asking about. Like a majority on here I Vape to get away from smoking and if a $20 dollar starter kit does the job, I'm a happy man. It sucks that society is like that but thank god we have the choice to stay away or ignore those type!

I think there's a much bigger crowd drip vaping for fun and hobby then to quit smoking. Vaping is a whole culture now and at this point has little to do with quitting smoking. Infact if you pay attention many of those drippers often have a pack of smokes in their shirt pocket.

I've said this before, I dont personally know anyone who has exclusivly quit smoking and only vapes. All the people I know who vape also smoke.

I keep hearing about it and keep trying 6 packs here and there but man some of that stuff tastes like it was brewed with old gym socks. Thanks but no thanks I'll be rednecking it over here in the corner with my Miller.

some are good some are bad, you have to get a palate for it. when i first started drinking craft beers, porters tasted like old bandaid water to me, and i was all into IPAS. Nowadays Im more into red ales and porters, go figure. I'm not talking down on big brewery beers, but once i had the palate for craft beers, most the diluted stuff like bud/miller (anything that is usually sold in 24-36packs) tastes the same to me, i cant really taste the difference anymore.

also pipe smoking existed loooonnggg before, its even older than cigarettes. Unicorns existed before, the new my little pony is based off the older my little pony which was hugely popular, and craft beer existed long before as well, bevmos and total wines have been open for a long time not just the couple past years.

I have yet to run into one of those tbh, that is surprising.

I'll just stick with my cheap beer an occasional warm Guiness, unless someone can point me in the right direction the trial and error thing is killing me.

Hello Sub, I drip (upside down) and don't smoke. :)

And yes I smoked for 25 years and vaping helped me quit.

Ahh yes, craft beers, like that's a new thing lol, its as old as beer itself. If it doesn't say bid or miller on it, its craft beer
Right. When I was drinking, it was only Mickey's Big Mouth for me.

Craft... Ha!

Again, a lot must have to do with where you live. We're in a dry county (NO liquor sales), so there are a lot of home brews and homemade wines, and even some shine...

No. To me a hipster, being derogatory now, is, as others have stated (sort of) that individual that - if you have a car, they have a faster/nicer/newer car (even if you can't see it because it's somewhere else). If you have a tat, they've got a sleeve or chest piece. If you've got a piercing, they've gauge their ears to allow cars to pass through. If you've got a nice little mod, they've rewired a 220v 3-phase arc welder and attached a rda. If you blow a cloud, their gonna try and create an eclipse.

It's sad, really, and I kinda pity them. Find yourself and be happy... don't worry about what the other guy or gal has or can do.

Hey, I've got my iStick and my little bdc tank, and the world is my oyster...

golden ales / pale ales / wheat beer are usually much lighter beers when you first dip into craft beer. generally you want to stay away from anything 'double' 'triple' or 'imperial' if you are new to craft beers, because those are all bold intense flavors compared to the buds/millers. Guiness is more akin to the darker beers like stouts/porters I think, if you want to dip into stuff thats like guiness beer. If you're trying out doubles or imperals or the bold intense beers then I can see how people can be swayed away from craft beers :p I know I wouldnt have loved a triple IPA when i first started, it would just be a mouthful of bitter yuckiness, but now I can handle them, dont love them but I can drink em without dislike.

good light beers: Maui mana wheat (light beer with a pineapple taste), maui bikini blonde lager, oskar blues mama's little yella pilsner, Stone brewing cali-belgique (belgian style beer)
good porters: Boulder Brewing Shake (chocolate porter), Knee Deep Brewing Tanilla Bean Porter (vanilla bean porter),

those are some of the good lighter beers I ran into that are easier to find, bevmos and local craft beer shops should carry em.

You clearly missed the point of my pavilions post. I'll aim lower next time, so as not to have it fly over your head. ;)

Or perhaps it is I that have missed the post of yours. Either way, it seems my sense of humor isn't compatible with yours (and vise-versa, maybe?). Lol
