So a lurker not so new, with some criticisms

So I adopted ecigs a while back when a 510 kit cost $50 and that was that cotton wadd hitting a crappy little screen atomizer. That may work for some but it wasn't enough for me.

So I went came back to the fold recently. I liked my protank... it was good but I just got a kayfun 3.1 and now I am content with my nicotine delivery. BUT I have a few criticisms:

  1. RBAs tanks are way better than the Protank system, but the whole winding wire stuff is for hobbyists. I want the flavor and delivery without the winding wires. Some dude is reading and I am hoping will be inspired to design the plug and play kayfun clone thing. By that I mean no screw drivers, literally plug a new wick in and start smoking/vaping (what should I be calling it now?.... that was a rhetorical question)
  2. Stop coming up with nicknames for crap
    Mechanical mod = battery case
    analog = cigarettes
    RBA = ?
    Everyone does realize this is just a heating element on a battery right....Stop coming up with new terms to describe stuff we already have described everyday, before e-cigs came along. Your new vocab means nothing to me and chases me away from adopting something that could be beneficial to me.
  3. Stop letting these people represent you:
    RiPTrippers on youtube
    Seriously this guys looks like a serious [edited]. I dont have a problem with [edited] but e-cigs are directly related to them because of every head shop carrying them.
    Case in point:
    via vice.com /read/our-e-cigarettes-are-going-to-melt-our-faces-and-burn-our-houses-down
    "The hobbyists, particularly the modders—a.k.a. the type who buy body kits and big subwoofers for their Acuras"
  4. Stop reinventing the wheel. 'Mechanical mods" are flashlights without the bulb. Don't [edited] yourself and think I am going to pay you 50+ dollars to basically provide me with a flashlight housing.
I think e-cigs are a viable alternative to cigarettes but there is a serious public image thing going on here.

Sorry I cannot post links, so there will be some manual effort with the above references.

You may have some valid points, but realize that electronic cigarettes is a relatively new market and anything goes. New & better products are coming out every month, so at some point you'll likely see some type of "plug & play" rebuildable. But don't hold your breath for long. :p

Also know that most of the products that we use come from China, with limited innovation and quality control. They are geared to produce disposable products that they can produce in high numbers for low cost to the consumer. Prepare to pay for higher quality products made elsewhere.

I happen to agree with you about the Rip Tripper guy. He's a little too bombastic for my tastes. Ever heard of PBusardo, he's probably more your type.
PBusardo Channel on YouTube.

As far as mechanical mods being little more than flashlights, there's a lot more involved in their manufacturing process than what a flashlight has. These are milled from blocks of stainless steel, brass, or aluminum in very expensive machinery, often crafted and polished by hand with a lot of workmanship detail. Not mass produced by an assembly line machine like a cheap flashlight. Good luck with those cheap $20 mods from China. See how many of them you have to buy to last you a year. "We make cheap, you buy cheap. It break, you buy another." :D

But can I say that you sound like a very unhappy person ... in general. You lost me after item #1, the rest just wreaks of misery, and most of your post is kind of a waste of space .... but I do agree that RipTrippers is a clown.

I have seen you post a lot on this forum, so I am assuming you are a regular part of this community. I am going to go ruffle some feathers of the regulars here and gonna say, you telling me I am a very unhappy person is kinda lame. Where do you get off with that BS?

Is that your purpose? You're posting here to ruffle the feathers of the regulars? Why? Just do your research in the background and ignore the parts you don't like or agree with. Or better yet, go start your own forum.

Well to be fair, i agree with her.
You do seem to be very bitter.

RBA = Rebuildable atomizer

What?

Stop reinventing the wheel. 'Mechanical mods" are flashlights without the bulb. Don't BS yourself and think I am going to pay you 50+ dollars to basically provide me with a flashlight housing.

Then don't buy one.

Watch Pbusardo instead.

Overall the goal of a mechanical mod is to make a connection from the battery's positive and negative ends of a battery to the corresponding connection of a heating element. I don't need a machined piece of equipment. I need to make a connection between the battery connectors to the heating element.

I aint got anything against you and hopefully wont in the future. But you do seem to come across as a bit of a Richard Cranium. That's all fine and dandy, but you're gonna rub folks the wrong way. You seem like you want to ruffle feathers. Go for it. See how well you're received here at ECF. I've been around here for several months on a daily basis and dudes that come across as antagonists don't last long around here. Best of luck to you and happy vaping.
Like I said, I have nothing against your posts. So welcome to ECF. have fun

You do realize I am the general public. This is not my hobby. I don't want to be part of the community. I am a guy that always looks for the better alternative, and in my case I see e-cigs as the better alternative. I am just letting you know, what some Joe, some Joe that could give an F about your forum 'your fight' or anything else may think of the entire 'system.' that is now in place, may think or gleen from his google "e-cig".

Sometimes truisms may be alluding some people because they are so immersed in something they lose sight of what a smoker, that desperately is looking to quit needs to know.

Oh don't worry about ruffling my feathers, your opinion of my comment doesn't bother me. :)

And I said that you sounded like an unhappy person because that it is how your post read ... at least to me, and apparently some others as well because the link to your thread was actually pm'd to me by another member who also felt that errr ... you could benefit from a hug, ... or some other type of physical affection. :D

Perhaps it was not your intent to come off "negatively", but I felt like you did... but that is just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions, so don't take it so seriously. ;-)

No harm, no foul. And hey, look at this way, we both agree that RipTrippers is a bit of a baffoon. :D

I gotta ask...did someone steal your bag of candy ??

No one here has done anything to you yet you come here guns a blazing looking to stir things up.

Try taking life a little less serious

Cheers :vapor:

Ok, simple solution. Buy an Ever Ready flashlight and fashion your own cheap:censored: mod. Then see what happens.
