Your whole response is a bit "internet cliche" soooo I am sorry but I cant respond to you anymore.

Ok, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, but you lost me there, with a post obviously antagonistc. Your points are foundless. If you don't like something don't buy it. Why hate on those who appreciate it? The terms you are complaining about are pretty straight forward and easy to figure out with a modicum of gray matter.
If you think a good mod is just a glorified flashlight tube, go make one and see how long it takes to melt down in your hand.
You, my friend, are not an accurate portrayal of the average person looking for a healthy alternative to smoking. Those who spread misery and hate will ever be mired in it. I hope you find some happiness in your life, so that you may cease spreading your discontent with life to others

Like, Ohhhhhhmagohdddd! Analog was like, sooooooooo last year! Like, sooooooooo analog!
-there is already a thread about how annoying people are who give derrogatory nicknames to cigarettes to alienate smokers, but I am not digging for it right now. We nicknamed smoking because we are proud to be without it. Kind of like refusing to bring up an ex on a date!

To post #145-either Elvis left the building, or he is watching this thread waiting for the right time to fight back, and just not finding it.

Sent from my bird in a moist little package :p

WELL SAID! I couldn't agree more -- and I was actually thinking many of the same thoughts. The pretentious inaccurate terminology is driving me up the wall. I couldn't take someone seriously if they were discussing the Indy 500 in kilometers. I'd be wondering if they actually meant kilometers in an accurate way, or meant miles and was just using the wrong terminology. Using the wrong term not only sounds unintelligent, it throws-off anyone that isn't equally inclined to go along with the errors in the discussion. I have seen the term atomizer, ultrasonic and nebulizer used to describe eCigs that function using a heating coil. Are they that uninformed? Can anyone go to dictionary.com and look-up a term before using it? Is it an unwritten rule of eCig discussion that joining the community means you must surrender accuracy and join-in in the use of wrong terminology just to fit-in and get along? "Sound as clueless as we do or hit the road."

I remember hearing very similar criticisms when I got into computers back in the 70s and 80s and 90s. We had our own language...and terms...and culture. We "chatted" and IM'd....I used it to store information...got into clubs with folks. Even when the internet first came out we were criticized. Its just a trumped up calculator..its for playing games...whats a web address or IRC or a j-peg? Normal, mainstream people will never get into this. And yet...here we are.....this is no different...except, and I believe this strongly...this..saves lives and improves the quality of life for thousands if not millions.

George, this is EXACTLY what I was thinking.....if he doesn't like it here, DO NOT go to a computer "rebuilders" forum...or a forum for modding your Android phone. When I first began those, I joined but never posted, rather reading, reading, reading to familiarize myself with their "lingo". You cannot expect a whole forum to adapt to "the one", but rather the one needs to adapt to the forum, right?

Well, my point was that discussing a 500 MILE event as a 500 KILOMETER event would seem either ignorant or inaccurate. It would create a credibility gap. If I referred to the Queen of England as a magistrate rather than a monarch, you would think me uneducated. There seems to be a provincial habit in the eCig community of using inaccurate terms interchangeably -- and excusing it. Okay -- I get it. Part of being an insider is someone use the wrong term and not correcting them and adjusting the context to fit what they are probably trying to say. We certainly would NOT want to be seen as an articulate, accurate and well-educated group of souls. ;-) Coming from a background in the scientific and medical community, atomizer and ultrasonic are a far cry different from a DC voltage being applied to resistive heating element. But hey, why split hairs, it sounds KEWL and we all sort of know what they mean, right?

k I don't know why I'm not just ignoring this but since I'm not I'll just share this with you: atomizer - definition of atomizer by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia..

It appears the vaping community didn't just decide to create a clever sounding word for the heating coil that vaporizes the eliquid. someone else did that.
