So Angry That I Can't Post To Classifieds With Taptalk!!

My activities in the classifieds have diminished do to taptalk not giving me the new thread option in the classifieds field..This has become a big pain in the ... especially when all the posting is done from my phone. Its easier to take pictures and post them from one device without the use of extra external flash and memory cards...I also tried to post from the internet on my device and the ECF picture interface fields don't respond at all when selected, the attache button at the bottom of the page only gives an option to drop in pictures that have previously uploaded to ECF, not the ones in my picture gallery.
If you have any comments, suggestions or a possible fix please feel free to post on this topic...

This would be an issue with tapatalk itself and would need to be addressed here: https://support.tapatalk.com/

Ensure you have the latest version of the app for your device. If you're still having issues with the latest app version, you'll need to post in the support forum for Tapatalk.

Edit -- I should also add that Tapatalk is designed for the "default" versions of forum software. They can't build the app to take into account heavily modified forums (such as ECF). It's highly possible due to the modifications done here, that Tapatalk will not work properly in some forums such as Classifieds. It's not ECFs fault, nor is it Tapatalks fault. It's "one of those things".

By no means I'm passing blame or fault, l love Ecf. It's just upsetting and tedious for me to post fs/ft in the classifies now, that's all..

Yea...you can still post, but you can't create a new item/thread/ad.

tapatalk was not playing nicely at all with the way the classifieds are set up.

Hopefully there will be a solution someday.

I have a few things I would like to post on the classifieds and give someone else an oppertunity to use and I can't because I'm at work or out and about. I take pics from my device then post Fs/ft from my phone later on when I have a chance, like now sitting in the Chinese restaurant eating dinner ready to go back to work!!...LOL Just having that little flexibility means alot to some of us, I know it sure means a lot to me but by no means I'm passing on blame just voicing my opinion and how it affects me. The truth is this shouldn't be mistaken for feedback in anyway shape or form. I love ECF and everything it does for us as a community of people with common interest ..what I'm saying is ECF has help me change my life in a positive way but we still need to voice our opinions to help make the user experience a pleasant one....over and out...peace!!

On I-phone/pad I use PUFFIN rather than tapatalk as its more of a browser for mobiles that work well for me. I believe it is also available for droids. And there 'is' a free version to try before you buy.

Perhaps give that a try and see if it works better for you for what your trying to do.

Go to your Settings, and turn off Enhanced Image Uploading.

You should be able to close in Tapatalk w/a long press on your ad (in the list, not in the ad), touch Moderate, then touch Lock. AFAIK, the only functionality blocked from Tapatalk is starting a new thread. Please let me know if this does not work.

I tried to lock from tapatalk and it didn't seem to work. It's not a big deal though. Tapatalk is good for straight posting/reading but I prefer the browser in most other situations.

Depending on the phone and file system, you may need a file manager if you are uploading. Astro for Android works and I have no idea for iphone.

If you are not able to close your classified thread via tapatalk...report it with the triangle and say that you need it closed.
Staff can close it for you.

It just gets worst...went on the pc to post some items for sale and after writing everything in and about to post my pictures my page times out!....damm it! I cant get a break.

Make sure you check the Remember Me box when logging on with a PC/laptop type browser. Then you won't get timed out.

thank you but it happened again on my kindle fire after writing everything down...its becoming a {MODERATED} nightmare for me to post now!!! I'm going crazy just offering people to trade my stuff when I know it would sale if I put it up...smh
