I bought a Chalice II just recently. It has a different contact pin in it, and the BF pin is in the box it came in, so I need to change it out. Can anyone help me figure out how to safely do that? Like the deck won't come apart when I remove it will it? When I look down at the pin it appears to have a tiny screw recessed in the hole. I am not sure how it got this way. As everything I have read and those I have spoke to say all chalices were BF. ?
I posted the last few days looking for some help, and mentioned that I was having some issues getting it dialed in. SuperX helped me with a video in a PM, which I will watch here shortly.{thanks supX} I need to make sure I am wicking this right, and learn how to properly build it.
But I would really like to use this on my new woodvil. Can I? Or at least one of my LP Grands.
I finally got it to work this morning somewhat, on an istick. I know, an abomination right? But it did work if I draw rather hard. I am not about drilling this thing out. I think that would also not be right. It sure is a thing of beauty. I wish all rba's were made so well.
And well maybe this thread will also take off once everyone gets their hands on the chalice III. I know my credit card has been burning up just waiting!

Can you tell if the one that is for BF has threads on it or is it smooth? It is hard to tell form the picks.

Never seen one like that.
It is starting at the top, Drilled down through, the head looks to be round on the outer edge, and maybe an allen key turns the hole in the center? Then it goes down from there, smooth-threads-smooth at the end.

Looks like the stars have aligned and the answers are clear....

BTW... if you do not want to fiddle with it. I will gladly fix it up and send it back when I am sure it is working correctly.

LOL that could take a while :D
