I read the WSJ article last week and got curious about e-cigs. So after a frenzy of webucation, I ordered an eGo kit that came in Saturday.
I've been smoking 30 years and, like many, have attempted to quit a few times. My problem has been that I really enjoy smoking and when quit, I end up obsessing over it until I finally cave in - the last time was just over a year quit. To make matters worse, I started working out at a gym figuring I might cancel out a few coffin nails by improving my overall health. Now I've gotten in pretty good shape and the cigs are canceling out my workouts!
So this time, I figured a no pressure approach. I'd try vaping and not stress too much about quitting. I buy cigs by the carton and still have a few packs on hand. So starting Saturday afternoon I've dropped to 4-5 analogs a day down from almost a pack.
I've figured out two things that I'll "tune up" in the days to come:
I also ordered some cartomizers to see how that works out when I'm out and about. It just seems like the vape fades out a little too soon with the 3-piece setup. Probably because I'm hitting it too often with the lower nic juice.
An unexpected surprise: I ordered an assortment of small juices, expecting I would probably lean toward the ones that taste like real cigarettes. Well.. the preloaded carts (Marl - high) were nasty (no surprise there) and I really don't care for the tobacco flavors. On the other hand, I really like the cappuccino and a fruit mix that I ordered.
Still getting into the groove of "smoking" indoors and in the car with the windows up. I think when I get the right nic juice and develop my new habit a little more, I'll probably drop the analogs. Just not in any hurry

I've figured out two things that I'll "tune up" in the days to come:
- I went conservative and ordered 12mg juice. After a bit more research, I just ordered higher nic juice.
- I am an obsessively clean smoker. Not in the house, only in the car with the vent on fresh and a window cracked. Going outside is part of the habit.
