Congrats and welcome to the ECF gtelliot! I didn't smoke as long as you (about 11 years) but I quit 2 days after using my pv and was thrilled. Would have stopped sooner, but rather than put them away in a drawer like you, I wanted to just finish the brand new pack. Haven't looked back since. Was nice last week when a friend (Who am turning to vaping as well!) had a cigarette and just curious, I tried it and knew right then I was done with them. I couldn't take more than that 1 drag without being disgusted. Hard to believe I did it for so long and could drop it so easily and quickly. vaping certainly helped and so easily!

Well. . . I can proudly declare that one month has officially passed as of 5 am this morning, and I have not given thought to picking up an analog. I bought that Ego-T on May 4th, started vaping the morning of the 5th, and have been smoke free since. Ego-C, now and still very happy with it (wife decided she needed the cigarette "look alike", not working as well for her) No problems with leaking or the like, but thinking about trying the Stardust clearomizers after I use up my 5 atomizers that came with the C. Thanks again for all your comments. Looking forward to posting my cigarettes missed, and money saved!

Congratulations to you, gtelliott!!!!

I'm almost where you are - I bought my Ego-C on May 7th and quit smoking May 8th.
Hmmm... Let me check my iPhone timer...

I quit smoking 28 days, 0 hours, and 36 minutes ago.
I have saved $138.73.
NOT smoked 504 cigarettes (*barf*)
Current benefits (per iPhone timer) - 'Your circulation improves and walking becomes easier, even your lung function increases up to 30%)

I don't know if the benefits are total considering I'm vaping, but they're definitely better than if I were continuing to smoke!

I'm using an Ego Twist and Stardust to vape now - my Ego C atomizers and 650mAh batts just weren't cutting it for me...

Again, congratulations on your 'month-aversary'!
I'm following in your shoes!

This past Friday was 4 weeks without a cigarette for me. After smoking for about 22 years. A pack a day at the end there. I "forgot" my last pack out on the balcony the day I bought my first look alike PV. After an 8 hour work day, they were pretty ruined from the humidty. So I vaped. And I vaped. :) Not sure if it was a true forgetfulness thing or at least subconciously I did it on purpose. But once I was home and saw that, I was like "Meh, I'm home and comfy, not going out again to buy any more." And that was that. :) I've since moved on to a nice eGo-C for now. Handful of different juices as I explore what I like. Once I "break even" on my overall initial investment, I'm looking at getting a GLV-2.

HawkeyeFLA. . . Could not help but pick up on that "Hawkeye". Gotta be a reference to the lead character in James Fenimore Cooper's book, or to my beloved Iowa Hawkeyes! (Follow them religiously even after 32 years in Tampa)

Technically it is a reference to Cooper's work, but as re-referenced in a book by Richard ....... Actually the entire backstory of how I picked this handle can be found in this post. :)
