So I guess it is just a matter of preference...

Hi all,
I am a total noob to vaping, I started a couple of weeks ago with my Volcano deluxe kit. At first I thought it was great, After a day I began getting a bad sore throat. I vaped on the Volcano for a week, burning my lips from time to time from e-juice, and having a sore throat. I figured out it is very small droplets of juice getting drawn into my mouth, I tried different tricks to minimize the juice but to no avail, it seems to keep happening. So I read allot of good things about Greensmoke, so I decided to try the cheaper version of the E9 from eCig. It is much better, the liquid is vaporized before it enters your mouth and have had no problems with sore throats and mouth burns, but the cartos don't last like I thought they would, or I should say, were advertised like they would. Filling a cartomizer seems pretty straight forward and plan on getting some juices and start filling them.
I have read, researched and googled what is the best way to go about all of this and it just seems it is a matter of preference to the individual. PV's seem to be on top, like the Riva and the Joye, second seems to be the 510's and similar. Then on to the mini e-cigs. Everybody seems to rave about their preference.
Personally, I would like an e-cig like the greensmoke or the magma that you can just pick up and go, and not to have to worry about inhaling burning polyfill packing. When the carto runs dry I just want to change it with a new one and refill it when I get home. An e-liquid injector would be nice to load cartos with e-liquid. (Like an e-cig rolling machine):) With a PCC I can carry batteries and cartomizers so life span isn't as big of a deal to me.
I know the mini e-cig is fairly new and hopefully companies will address the issues with mini e-cigs. I just want to smoke my e-cig, worry free, don't want to inhale un-atomized e-liquid or burning plastic. Just want to change the battery or cartomizer as needed and go on from there.

Is it possible yet?
Just trying to minimize the trial and error method as much as possible because it can sure get expensive.

OK
The greensmoke is an E9. If you like that model you are one of the few as it is possibly the worst model available on the market. If not, it certainly is in the running for it.

With respect to the rest of your question, ecigs are a trade-off between form and function. Just the way it is. On one end is the super mini (E9 for example) and box mods on the other.

The question of a "great" super mini ecig comes up on a daily basis. The problem is this. It doesn't exist.

You, me, and everyone on here wish it did. It doesn't. Just the way it is.

Try 306 cartomizers on your volcano not only do they hold alot more juice, fit into the PCC, don't leak juice in the mouth unless overfilled, but are alot more convenient when on the go. You can get them here 306 CARTOMIZERS I buy these monthly and they work great. I use about 10 a month. Now that I use cartomizers on my Volcano batteries it works great.

I did get a soar throat a few days after I started vaping. Luckily it only lasted a day or two and went away. I haven't had that issue since the first week. I do occasionally get a drop or two of juice in my mouth, but that's probably my fault, and only happens when I drip and use a short drip tip.

Well it doesn't exist yet, I would hope in time as e-cigs become more popular and in demand, manufacturers will come up with devices like the great mini e-cig. Though it is certainly an overwhelming majority that favor the 510 over the E9. I guess my next purchase will be a 510.
Does anyone think the volcano magma with refillable cartomizers is a good combo for a mini e-cig?

If you like a more streamlined pv... there are plenty of people on here who like the kr808.. I do not have one but i've seen pix and it looks very nice. However, there is the battery issue but if you have a pcc then you're all set. I personally have an eGo and I love it. I almost never get liquid in my mouth and hits are consistent and good. I had a sore throat when i first started like many people and found that with drinking extra water it just went away after awhile.

I think a joye 510 is probably your best bet. When you decide that you want to take it up a notch with a mod, you can typically use all your 510 stuff with it. They are consistent, very easy to refill, have a large range of carts, cartos, and attys, so you can customize it to your hearts content. As far as droplets of juice in the mouth, the only time I have that happen to me, is either when I flood an atty and I am too lazy to blow it out, or when I am drawing fiendishly on the thing. Occasionally with cartomizers, when I overfill them, I'll get some juice too.

+1 on the sore throat. It still happens to me if I chain vape certain flavors.
