I got a terribly irritated throat yesterday when I woke up, just randomly. Through the entire day my throat just got progressively more irritated and painful. I hadn't vaped on my e-cig all day since I didn't feel like it with the irritation. I had about 7 menthol throat drops at work. When I got home, took a nap and woke up with an even worse sore throat. So basically yesterday I didn't vape.

Well this morning I got up and the sore throat was still there but I decided since the stupid menthol throat drops didn't work, I'd vape a little. I use menthol liquid so it usually feels good anyway...

Is it a coincidence that my sore throat suddenly just went away not even 30 minutes after I started vaping again this morning? I was thinking maybe it's like a humidifier...considering we blow out water vapor anyhow. I was just curious if vaping actually cured my sore throat lol. I usually don't recover from a sore throat in less than 72 hours. It had been just a little over 24 hours when my sore throat magically disappeared.

You most likely became dehydrated. Vaping can cause dehydration. I always drink water or at least some type of beverage when I'm vaping, just to prevent getting dehydrated.
I actually don't get a sore throat from vaping. I had a fever of 101.4 yesterday, I caught a bit of a cold. Sore throat is usually what I get as a first symptom of a cold or flu. And yes, I drink plenty of fluids when vaping! Get thirsty lol.

Is it odd that inhaling water vapor causes dehydration? You think it'd be the other way around....No, not dehydration causes vaping either lol

only problem is it's not water, PG is well known to cause dry skin. while VG is used as a moisturizer most mixes are usually very low, even though the VG base could be coating the throat.

most premixed juices contain only trace amounts of water(if any at all) for thinning purposes only.
