So, I have noticed some DIYers use Model Paint Mixers, but has anyone used on of these to mix their juice?

I used to use the in the lab all the time. They are great for mixing. I've never used them for juice, but I don't see why they wouldn't work. In the lab we'd always use them for conical bottom tubes (50ml conical, or the 1.5ml microcentrifuge tubes). I suppose they'd work on a small bottle too though. The ones we used were not cheap versions, so I can't say anything about how durable an inexpensive one would be.

Sometimes mixing up something that had liquids of different viscosity would take quite a bit of vortexing. This would be for pretty think stuff though, more like gels.

I always thought a rocker plate (nutator) would be great for mixing large volumes of juice. It wouldn't be fast, but you could just leave it rocking for a day and go about your business. http://youtu.be/7rhkeMApiS4
