So, I put a battery in my Provari mini backwards

So, I put a battery (AW 18350) in my Provari mini backwards...fried the Provari. Smells like fried electronics. tank and battery still work, but all I get on the Provari is a fast blinking light. Provape kindly asked me to send it in. Think I'll be covered since the reverse protection failed?

That is Unusual. Because the Provari has Reverse Polarity Protection.

I have Accidently put a Battery in my Provaries a few time with No adverse effects.

What type of Battery were you Using? Was it a Flat Top by any chance?

AW button top. My error, but Reverse Protection failed, these things happen with electronics.

Get with their customer support and let them know. Even if it is not under warranty, they might cover it due to failed electronics.

Repaired. They covered it and they turned it around next day. Can't ask for more.

Glad you got that resolved! I'm just wondering how the flat bottom of the battery made contact with the positive pin inside the Provari...seeing as it REQUIRES a button top in order to reach the connection...

Bah...doesn't matter as it apparently happened. But that along with the fact the circuitry didn't prevent disaster either...I'd say you had a lemon on your hands.

first time i ever heard the word "lemon" used in conjunction with a Provari... are they still going to allow you to go to the meetings?

I just ordered 2 provape 1 's. One as a kit and one by it's self and 2 extra batt's. The op's post makes me feel much better. I need small unit for work and yard work and I bought enough ego's to pay for the full kit in last 9 months. Glad to hear the company backs up the products!
