So I thought I destroyed a purple Efest (35A)

I just got an hcigar Nemesis, my first mechanical, along with a purple Efest battery that no one seems to be able to get their hands on. Hadn't purchased a charger yet, but my friend let me borrow one of those ghetto generic KK-VV18350 chargers. I was really excited to use it so I charged it for a few hours and took it to my friend's house. Got a little drunk and left the Nemesis next to me on the couch laying on it's side and later noticed it was really warm. Took the battery out and let it rest. Upon coming home, I put the battery in my ghetto little charger and it didn't light up. SO I decided to purchase another battery and a Nitecore i4 (v2) charger that I just got in the mail today. Decided to put the supposedly dead battery in the charger and it looks like its charging (charging indicator is blinking)!

So the question is, am I an idiot if I decide to use this battery again or will I lose a hand or burn down my house? Additional details: it wasn't burning hot, it still barely worked making a really really tiny stream of vapor come out of my rda. Thanks guys!

P.S. Sorry for potentially destroying one of the rarest batteries on the market.

Bunk charger is probably your problem. Was your nemesis firing while next to you somehow? I don't know how it could have gotten so warm without misfiring. it sounds like a misfire if the battery was still putting out a little bit, Seems like it was misfiring long enough to the point of overheating and almost killed the life of it Lol. Just enough to make it seem dead but put out the little bit of vapor.

That's the thing, the rda still had just as much juice in it as when I had initially dripped it. The dripper itself wasn't hot at all. I'm wondering if something might be wrong with my Nemesis but I doubt it considering how simple these mechs are made. Also, it worked just fine yesterday with my buddy's Sony VTC4. But yeah, bunk charger is definitely a part of the problem

yeah i've always had the battery in correctly. can anyone explain the voltage drop test to me or should i just search for it?

You can either buy an inline 'tank-o-meter' or use a multi-meter, remove the wicks (really only necessary with cotton) touch the MM probes to the appropriate posts on the RDA, and fire it until you get a stable reading on your MM, the subtract the number you get from the batt's voltage.

You didn't mention what the battery voltage was before you tried your cheap charger, or after it came off the charger, or before you put it on your Nitecore, or after you took it off. Always check the battery voltage with a meter if there's any chance of over-discharge or over-charge. It's the only way to know what the battery is doing, what condition it's in at any point.
