My trusty 901 has served me well for almost a year, but it's about time for something stronger and my last atty kicked the bucket, about 10 minutes after my usb charger decided it would no longer support my habit ^_^. I've read/watched tons of reviews, and I know i want a Riva. My question is this: who is the cheapest retailer in the states? EM has them for $50, and they are the manufacturers so i know the quality will be good, plus i get all my 901 parts from them anyway. My only concern is if i can find it cheaper, and i know no matter where i order it from stateside, it will be here quicker than from EM. Can anyone recommend a site?

Also, a few of the sites i've checked so far only carried 510. I plan on continuing on with my 901 habit :)

Hey Slim, I too was a 901 user for 8 months and made the switch to the eGo at Vapefest last month. Since that time I have discovered that they make either a Riva or an eGo in the 901 instead of the 510. I wish that I had know this before buying 2 eGo kits that were 510.

This is only one persons opinion, but I don't like the flavor produced by a 510 nearly as much as I do the 901. Also, the 510 seems to burn hotter (though this might just be the eGo battery and not the atomizer?). I think that my next big purchase will be a eGo 901. I wish that I could remember what supplier had it available....maybe someone else could help with that.

Good Luck

Nhaler has it for $67 with 2 attys and a free LR 510 atty and drip tip. You will have it in 2 days. I get all of my hardware from there and they are top of the line service.

Concur. That's where I got mine, and NJ is considerably closer to Florida than China.

The clicher is the free LR atty & drip tip; trust me, you will want the LR atty, and the two would cost you about $15 otherwise. Use this 10% discount code when checking out: saveinnj. That takes it to $60.30. The value of the LR atty/drip tip freebie effectively makes it $45.30. Slam dunk.

She's looking for the 901 Riva. Eastmall is the only place I remember seeing them. That's not to say they're not out there somewhere. I would assume they are, although since it's a relatively new offering, maybe Eastmall is holding onto it before letting everyone start selling it.

Slim, if you don't want to way for a slow boat from China or cannot find a stateside vendor, you could always get an adapter that takes the 510 thread to 901 for about $2.50 from madvapes. That way you could still use all your 901 stuff and even open up other options so you also use the 510 if you wanted. I don't know whether this affects the vaping quality of the 901 or not, though.

I'm a she now? Dang... anyway lol yes i would like to stay with the 901. Problem is, while the adapter may work, i don't have 901 parts atm (my last atty burned out, only 901 parts i have are carts). So i'm looking for a kit. Looks like i may be stuck with EastMall. I will check the other vendors listed on the site but if i can't find anything, oh well.

LOL Sorry about the 'she' thing!! Crappy resolution on my monitor. If you really liked the 901, though, you could still go the same route. Buy a 510 Riva and get the adapter stateside. It would still be faster than getting it from Eastmall and a lot of places have started carrying the various adapters. By the time you add the requisite $17 shipping, it may not even be that much more expensive if you get both the PV and the adapter at the same place. It would actually give you an opportunity to try both and decide what you like, or use them both for different purposes.

Just to reassure you, the resolution on my monitor is just so-so, but I didn't take you for a drag queen for even a moment.

LOL In my defense, I used to live in area where the women were butch and the men weren't, and the picture on my monitor was a little androgynous, so with my mental coin-toss I went the wrong way.

LOL Much more manly picture!!! To my knowledge, the regular 510 equipment works on the Hello 016, and I would assume that goes along with the adapters. They've got great battery life. The only downside I've heard about the H-016 is in regard to the combination cone-atomizer that they make for it. Aesthetically you lose the "sleek" Riva-like look without it, but I've heard that the cone-attie combination is mediocre at best.

If i'm getting a 510 kit, what about the Hello, Good-buy? It has 1300mAh batteries, my only question is the quality of the build and will the 510 to 901 adapter work properly?

The only knock I have on the Hello is that the cone is fused together with the atomizers. The adaptor should work just fine, mind you, but you'd have to ndo without the cone. A kit is only $50, but there's only on battery: Hello, Good-Buy

My idea is such: if i have a 1300mAh battery, i won't need more than 1 daily. Yes i'll need an extra for backup, but one battery should last me most of 2 days consistently. I saw that kit PI, hence why i asked. With the difference in price, i could buy another Hello battery, but i'd be stuck with 510 atomizers for now until next check when i could afford the adapter and 901 LR atty's. I'm probably going to get the 510 kit from Nhaler and get empty carts, the adapter, and 2 lr 901 atty's from MadVapes

Can't know for sure about the battery life; If you're a vaping maniac like me, 1300mAh would run dry just before the day ends (as two 750mAh Riva batteries used to do, before I got a Silver Bullet and put the Riva stuff out to pasture; they make great backups).

Personally, I wouldn't like the idea of adaptors--too much paraphanalia. I'd go one way or the other. That's just me.

Gotcha. Ok, here's something to think about, although it'll blow all the thinking you've done so far sky-high: there's a large number of battery mods that come with 901 fittings; lot's & lots of them, but the first to come to mind is the DSE905, which also goes under more aliases than I have fingers on both hands. Here's just one: The Better Way To Smoke - DSE905 Nomad E-Cigarette Kit, Black

The huge advantage to these is you can get the batteries anywhere, they're much cheaper than proprietary Riva or Hello batteries, and if--God forbid--the FDA begins to seize Chinese imports, you won't be left out in the cold.

Or i can get it from MadVapes and save on shipping:
905 KIT BLUE LED NO BOX

just add it in with my order for the atty's, etc and i'm good to go. Plus they carry cheap 14500 protected batts.

Do i need protected batteries? MadVapes says it has a protection circuit built in, so should i get protected ones anyway, just in case? Or is it safe to go with the cheaper, non protected variety?
