Currently I'm using an EMDCC setup. I really enjoy my mega dual coil cartos, for many reasons, but I've been off analogues for weeks now and I'm starting to get the bug. I've had my eye on the SB for awhile now and I think I just need a smooth talking salesman to turn the tide.

I work offshore as a commercial diver and I've been on holiday for a couple months now and am soon to return to work. That means constant contact with salt water on deck. I don't know how well my eGo batteries are going to last if they get wet, especially with saltwater. I imagine it's not going to end well. The SB is aluminum right? Which should alleviate most of my water concerns with proper care.

However, what is going to be more satisfying about my vape from a SB than from an eGo battery. Sell me!

Oh, and let it be noted that I've already purchased a 510/eGo adapter so that I can continue using my EMDCCartos.

*Gets on his Sale Hat*

I'm a horrible sales person but I'll give it a whirl :p

The Silver Bullet is made from Aircraft Aluminum, and the majority have a powder coat finish. The biggest difference, based upon whether you're actually using an 'eGo' or a knock off eGo is that the original eGo is regulated to 3.4v. The Silver Bullet in it's own right uses a 3.7v which fully charges to about 4.2v.

Another selling point is the difference between the batteries. The cheap batteries we sell are 2600mAh for around $8 and some change. You can find eGo batteries ranging from $15-$30 depending on where you look. So batteries can be cheap, unless you want to go with premium batteries (AW 18650 3100mAh Battery) but these type of batteries usually last a lot longer before needing to be replaced.

What you're presently using sounds a lot like an eGo Dual Coil Cartomizer which we do sell as well. But with the Silver Bullet, I would probably recommend a Dual Coil Tank but depending on your work you may find the eGo Dual Coil Cartomizer a little easier to work with.

Comparing the two switches in the device, the Silver bullet out shines the eGo by miles. But most any mod's switch will. We've had people run these devices over with cars, drop them from roof tops, dropped them out of a moving car (we don't recommend doing any of these :p). The Silver Bullet has created a name for itself as a device that 'Just Works'.

As for saltwater, I can't say that I've spent even a few minutes at sea with my Silver Bullet. But maybe chad can toss his two cents in here in that regard.

You can always give us a ring and we can answer any questions that you may have and we can always take an order over the phone. Our normal business hours for phone support is:

Hey Madsen...

* light slap and a hearty shove *

There...did that help? This is the third place I've seen this post this morning. I think you already know that you are going to go for it. DO IT. You won't be sorry.

2 weeks with my new Bullet (chrome) and couldn't be happier. Like you, it took me forever to pull the trigger...when I finally did I could have kicked myself for waiting so long. You would be hard pressed to find any negative reviews/comments about the SB...I know cuz I look all over for them. Folks are always talking about owning 2 or more and how their first one that's 2 years old works just like the day they got it. I'm already planning on adding a companion for my Chromey....

Sorry about that slap and push....consider it tough love. Now go hit that checkout button and go stand by the mailbox and post back when it arrives.

hey all - thanks for the info - and sorry for spamming the boards... it was late at night and I was trying to get some good info. Good info received!

I just have on more question - someone pointed out the size factor? Just how big is it? I'm guessing the thickness of a roll of quarters? maybe a little bigger? and a little longer? Someone said it isn't terribly pocket friendly, but I imagine that it would be if I didn't leave a carto on it when I wasn't actually puffing on it.

a bit bigger in diameter and a bit longer than a roll of quarters, but with nothing attached it's pocket friendly. I just find somewhere to stand mine near wherever I'm working. I find the size/feel and heft of it to be near perfect...for me anyway. really well balanced in your hand and could probably be used for a weapon if the need arose.

Ok, now that you've got an SB on the way you need to consider a backup rig in case your new baby sinks to the bottom or some other unforseen catastrophy occurs. The Omega uses the same batteries, but it's all mechanical to boot. I've got one of each and can tell you they're both built equally well.

Haha - one step at a time buddy!!! Seems we've found the REAL salesman here. I appreciate your enthusiasm though - and your comments are duly noted!

Anybody know if the bullet comes with noalox on the threads?

Delaware, Ohio,
I have had my bullet for a year and it looks like it. Just ordered an Omega to go with it for dress. Tried the Alpha and found the 14500 battery to last 6 hours vs the 18650 lasting from one morning to the next. As been afraid to be somewhere and have the smaller battery die. Someone questioned being pocket friendly. Today, I paid attention and it spent exactly 5 minutes in my pocket, so I would have to say that concern is not an issue.
