Question #1
I've been dripping Raz Cup for a few days in the RDA; the wicking was the generic cotton facial pads from Meijer.

Then, I received Koh Gen Doh in the mail today. I pulled the wicking with the Raz Cup from my coils and cleaned the residue off with a q-tip.

I inserted the Koh Gen Doh and generously applied Cheesecake. It wicked up beautifully on the pads.

I vaped, and it tasted like Raz Cup (which is delicious) with a hint of cheesecake. I kept vaping, the taste is still there. I can barely taste the cheesecake, just a hint of it. This is over several applications of cheesecake. I know I didn't give the cheesecake a chance to fully steep yet, I received it last week.

But is this typical when you reuse coils? The residual taste?

Question #2
I bought PBC, and lots of it. Right now it is not steeped. I hit it FOOB. It tastes like organic peanut butter, which I absolutely love. But I was expecting a peanut butter cookie flavor. Do I need to steep this for an extended period of time? Is there another flavor to add to it to make it sweeter? Some suggested Frenilla, but my Frenilla hasn't steeped yet.

I tried Gr3pAp3 75% to PBC 25% and the organic peanut butter flavor was still the predominant flavor.

So, will this PBC become sweeter with steep time, and if not, what other flavors can I mix it with to help?

Thank you all for any insight you can give me.

Take care,
Dani

You've got good advice for the switching of flavors. For the flavor of juices I think this is where knowing ohms law or having a VV/VW device to fire your dripping atty on comes in handy. When I have a new juice to try I start at the lowest watts I can get then try the juice, go up a .5 watts try again, etc. With any given juice different things come out at different watts (I'm using watts but you can use volts as well either way...ohms law...;) )

And as has been mentioned I was still on eGos with PTs with store bought heads at a month+. You are rocking it woman! :headbang:

Megan, the only adjustable device I have now is an eGo-C Twist. So I should start at the lowest (3.2) and work it up until the flavor hits? (It goes up to 4.8)? Thank you, Megan!

That's what I did when I was only on eGos so it will work for you! Will just look a bit silly but the taste will show how it works :thumb:

I really need more coffee, I read this as "should I squirt it right in my eye?" I was yelling NO, not in your eye!!!

If I'm mixing a couple of flavors I will usually have one in my bottle and drip the other as I go or mix both in the REO bottle. I've never used a genitank (don't ask what autocorrect just changed that to, glad I caught it ) mega so not really sure how it would work on that. I would have a spare bottle for any mixes.

Good advice from everyone, I will add after I dry burn, in short pulses as mentioned, I use a piece of pipe cleaner to get the baked residue out from the inside of the coil.

As far as PBC, when I first got the V2, I was wishing it was sweeter but as it aged the cookie really did emerge. It's still not as sweet as my usual flavor profile but it is my favorite ADV.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hahaha at least I'm not the only one, I read it as eye too.:lol:

I am going to go get another cup of coffee now.

Don't forget when you dry burn make sure the coils burn evenly from the inside out. Don't want one coil firing late

Great. Will do. Thanks for the heads up.

BTW, I mixed 75% Frenilla and 25% PBC. PBC is still strong, but muted a bit. Can't taste the Frenilla at all. Putting all of the concoctions in the depths of the darkest corner of my closet to steep. Will check back in a month.

Just adding my opinions. :)

First, it took me about 6 months of vaping to try wrapping any coils, then another 4 to attempt duals, so kudos to you on your success. It will only continue to improve with practice.

I don't rewick as often as some of these guys do.
I'm a lazy vapor, imo/experience if you use CLS or Frenilla as a go between you can go from anything to anything.

I only rewick when my coils are needing to be cleaned anyway.
Unwick, rinse, dry burn, rinse, recheck ohms, rewick

I re-wick and dry burn often as I have hypersensitive taste buds. Or something? Juices just start to taste dirty and muted to me. Plus I flavor hop often. When I go to work i bring 2 DIY's and a couple nicoticket juices. I have one of the fabled dirty mixes of CLS + CB that pretty much goes with me everywhere. I was a little nervous taking two half bottles of great juice and making one out of them. What if you guys are wrong, what if it isn't as good as the sum of its parts. No need to worry. My new favorite nickoticket! and this thanksgiving day Virus is finally moved from like to good. I have hit it every couple days for a month finally it turned on me into something good. Still not as good as Wakonda! lol

Oh yeah and the whole reason i hit reply after reading this thread. A Reo is dripping. It is just self contained and feeds from the bottom. A bit more difficult to change flavors then just grabbing a splash of something else. I suppose you could use a cartomizer\atomizer which would make it not really a dripper but i wouldn't do that. I want one. but can't until after the holidays.

Yep, dripping upside down. :)

And I have made the mistake of loading up one with a flavor I wasn't sure about then regretted it and it is harder to switch. So I keep them for flavors/combos I know work together or just one flavor I want at the time and just know I have to clean and rewick/dry burn afterwards. That's why I keep my mech/rda around so I can drip to taste and if it hits then load a full tank on one of the Reos.

The one thing I have learned quickly that I don't hear a lot about is it will make you want to keep a very clean mod. Since all of the juice you squonk into will go back into your bottle you will want to keep your wicks and coils as clean as you can. Which leads to more maintenance but it balances out with the ease of use during the day.

I think ya'll have successfully dissuaded me from wanting a Reo. Way too much maintenance for me. I like to fill something up, attach it to a battery and head on out to wherever I'm going. I like the simple things.

Personally I think they're purists/ coocoobird clean freaks. ;)

Again laziest vaper ever here, but...

First you can have multiple bottles (cheap) for quick switch ups of flavor.
You can blow out the tube to get rid of most of the old juice. Vape the wick almost dry. Slap in a new bottle/flavor done.

But that's too much work for me too

I load one flavor. If I don't think I want much only one to two mls. When it gets low or if I want to switch up, I add something that mixes well. When that gets low, maybe I add more of the 2nd flavor to get straight 2nd flavor. Maybe I add a new flavor that mixes well with what's left in the bottle.

Just want a quick mix for a couple hits? Drip something else in the top.

Not pushing reo, but personally I think it's just as easy as my bat + multiple tanks, if not easier (for how I vape). BUT tastes better. I went from bat + maintaining 6-7 tanks to take to work every day to one reo one bottle, taking a handful of NT bottles to work everyday. I think the daily experience is the same, but rewicking one rda compared to 6 tanks every 3-4 days is so much easier.

If you want to be able to rotate 6 straight flavors in quick succession throughout the day, granted 6 tanks is easier....or 6 reos.

Thanks Emily! I generally don't go through that many flavors a day. Usually I decide what flavor I have a taste for that day, load up the tank for that, attach and head on out the door. I'm not going to say I'll never upgrade to a Reo or something like it, it just won't be anytime soon. For me, life is good now! :)
