First of all, I'd like to compliment y'all on this amazing forum. Great gang!

I'm a 2-3 pack a day ex-smoker. My introduction to e-cigs was this Christmas at the mall... which I've worked in for many years. I didn't buy from them but it did pique my interest... lord knows I've been needing to quit smoking before I killed myself. My immediate motivation was a 4 week work trip starting January 12th that would land me in hotels that no longer have smoking rooms, airports, rental cars, and all the other places where smoking is a nastier crime than murder.

A little online surfing and I landed on a website (V2cigs) that a had what I thought I needed. The package came the day before I flew out... hallelujah! I'm not sure if this is a good place to buy or a rip-off? I do know that I'm loving not smoking. Between Wal Mart brand nic gum (so much less expensive!) and my new e-cig kit I have not smoked one single real cig in over a week now. There are three packs in my suitcase but I couldn't care less... I love my vapor machines.

Now what are my next steps? I've read a lot here and it all seems pretty technical and complicated.

1- I like the two piece set up I have, but am interested in refilling my cartomizers. Is that possible?

2- Both manual and automatic came in my kit but I like the manual the best. Will cartomizers from other companies fit on my batteries? I'd like to try more flavors than V2 carries.

3- The cartomizers feel a little too big in my mouth. It's like I'm sucking on a straw. Do they come in smaller sizes?

Hope this all makes sense. I really would love your advise.

Thanks!

Welcome OMG! Congrats on your 1st week! How excellent!

1...Yes, you can re-fill cartomizers.

2...I don't know what kit you got, but my guess is that you have threading on it so some parts should be interchangable. Not everyone's pieces will fit, though. Some places add length to the post, under the threads....hard to explain. Here is a picture of an cartomizer with a similar thread. More pics of REO 044.jpg

3...There are drip tips or mouth pieces you can put on the end of the cartomizers that are much more comfortable. Here is an example of some drip tips. P1010182.jpg

*edit....I was in error...was looking at the wrong threads. that was my fault. gotta be lame at least once a day! lol.

First of all, OMG, welcome to the forum.
I haven't been around the vaping scene a long time, but I'm pretty sure the V2 is a kr808 device. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
If it is in fact a kr808, no problem getting refillable or pre-filled cartomizers for it. Same goes for compatibility of batteries.
I don't believe you'll find a cartomizer that has a smaller diameter, though.
Again, if I'm wrong someone please correct me.
I will now humbly leave the thread to others who are more knowledgeable than myself.
Once again, welcome to ECF.

Assuming V2 is a KR808D-1
Some rebranders sell hard-cap cartos or even glued hard-cap cartos to make them trickier to fill. Buy some nice soft-tip non-LR cartos. You should also be able to use the prefilled and blank ones at Vapor4Life.com (I prefer their Coolcarts. Their other ones are too hot on my lips)

Also, a DSE901 standard atty will screw right on KR808D-1 and then you can use 901 carts for a different experience. 901 atty is sort of airy but pleasant.

I hate to do this, because I usually make fun of people recommending the ego right off the batt, but you should really consider a fat-batt e-cig if you were a 2-3 PAD smoker. That's a HUGE amount of smoking, and you're going to be vaping a TON for a while to make the switch. Something with a really big battery would do you good. I happen to prefer a 3-piece personally, which would mean an ego, ego clone or a Leo. But, since it sounds like your kit is probably a KR808 unit, you might look at the Pig-Cig. It's the size of a small-medium cigar, but uses the same cartos you're using now.
