now the 402 and 403 are just shorter batteries for the 401?

so they all share the same vaporizers and carts? just the batteries are different sizes?

That's right. And they last longer in order of size. The specs are posted somewhere...
I bought all 3 batteries and in the end I prefer the 401 just for batt life.

That is correct. The only difference is the battery length. The 401 is the long one, the 403 is the shortest one.
