Were you just confronted by someone about your vaping in public? Did you immediately think that you need to wrap yourself in the warm embrace of ECF by posting about your experience? Well my friend, ECF has got you. It actually established quite awhile back a special forum category for this very purpose! Here's a brief how-to:

STEP 1: Navigate your web browser to the ECF Home Forum page.

STEP 2: You're upset from your rights being assaulted and you want to maximize your audience for the story you're about to tell. That's only natural. However, when you are staring at the home page about to delve in, please muster your restraint from entering into the General Discussion forum.

BUT WHY? you ask. Well as mentioned briefly above, there's an entire forum category created just for you!

STEP 3: Navigate to the forum created just for you!

Once you click on that link there, you will find yourself in a wonderland!

LOOK AT THAT. Nothing but kindred spirits swapping their stories! This must be a dream, or at the least a highly-organized internet forum! This is some serious vaping-in-public porn right here!

MAJOR ADVANTAGES:
1. Snuggle up in the warm blanket of anecdotes shared by your like-minded ECF'ers.
2. Avoid those pesky ECF members who might offer an opposing opinion than yours, sometimes perhaps in a snarky manner.

These threads don't get locked because they're posted in the wrong place. They're locked because certain members forget the purpose of ECF and think they can post anything they want, including insulting comments towards their fellow members. Rude comments and off topic posts meant to incite others aren't condoned, nor are they appreciated.

To put things bluntly, if you can't conduct yourself in accordance with the rules stay out of the thread. It's that easy.

Hey there retired! It seems you aren't fond of responding to my private messages in my attempt to conduct this, well, privately. So to be clear: I didn't create this to assert my rights to be rude in threads. I created this because presumably posts about vaping in public should be relegated to the Vaping In Public forum, if not by the posters themselves then by the mods. Else you're going to have to deal with this just about every day when new posts get created in GD; I'm sure a Starbucks Sucks thread is being drafted as I type this. And as long as they keep getting posted in GD, I'll contribute my opinions.

Completely understand retired. Definitely more important things to do than wallow in these inane issues. There's an entire forum of ECF posters who would tell me to follow my own advice (and they'd be right). But you can see how one PM three days ago (after you had just posted in a thread indirectly at me) and another this morning followed by a public post by you might be construed as an ignoring of my messages.

You all do a great job relegating posts in GD to their respective sub-forums. It seems to only make sense that you would also move the most highly contentious (and repetitive) public vaping posts to the correct forum, if anything to stop me from posting in them

From your posts I can gather that we don't exactly meet eye-to-eye when it comes to these issues. but you have always seemingly read my opinions with equanimity and have thrown me some "likes". So thank you.
