So what if I don't like 1.5 ohm vaping...

But I did like the 306?

Some history:
I tried 1.5 ohm 510's from Avid Vapor. Nightmare, burnt everything.

I tried 1.8 ohm and 2.0 ohm 510 Cannons from IKV. Nightmare, leaked everywhere even with o-rings. I also didnt like the any of the 801 Drip Tips feel (didn't like it on my old mod either).

I tried 1.8 and 1.5 901's. I liked these but they clog so easily and don't "quite" have the vapor production of....

The Avid 306 1.5's. I like these just not the vape. It kills my juices. It also seems to finicky like goldilocks, off the charger... too hot! into the vape... where was the middle of the vape?, drops... too cold!

Here is the rub, so... "Bogey, just buy 1.8 or 2.0 ohm 306's, you can get them". Okay I understand that. But I am about to whine, so plug your ears. 9 bucks and no specials??

I'm kinda stuck and running out of ideas. So by default I will answer the first point right away, yes I have cartos. Honestly, my absolute favorite has been boge carto's, and thats all i use on the grand, and I love the vape. It does hit my sweet spot.

But I really want an atty for the mini, so I can make easy juice changes, and slap in 3ml sample bottles and not have to use up a carto just to try a juice once.

So I am turning to the Reonauts for suggestions. I know it's a preference thing, but I hope that some of the history I am providing can help a little. So any Boge Carto users find a good vaping atty they like now and then? Do you just keep a couple of them on hand and don't worry about bulk or specials type pricing?

Oh and if this helps, I have found things I like are:
Neutral to slightly warm vape.
Flavor Junky.
Not a TH chaser, i just need a touch.

Thanks all!:vapor:

Have you considered using a different brand? I know many of us Rave about the Ciscos or the IKVs but I have also used the EMs and they're not bad...and they Joyes are okay too. Right now I have 1 Cisco, 1 Joye and 2 EMs on my mods....And they all seem to be doing pretty well. Well...er...this ONE Cisco is kind of a pain...but just because its sooo finicky. I get better long term performance from the Joyes than the EMs...but the atties I have from all three manufacturers are old....I've had them a long time. (we buy in BULK)

Bogey, I'm in the same boat as far as preference, not much on TH, do like flavor and vapor. My preference is around 2.0-2.3Ω on the mini. I've lately settled into the bulk 510's from vaporkings (here). They work well, last about a week (varies with juice), and cheap enough. Just something to try if you haven't already.

Thanks! I will give them a try. Life would be easier if I didn't like trying so many different flavors. I will certainly try these though. Thanks for the advice.

Congrats on your 3000th post BH!

Most of the time I stick with my Boge 2 ohm cartos, but my favorite atty's have always been the Xtreme Vaping LR's. No primer, great flavor, decent vapor production, and I've never had one burn a juice. Oh, and they're $6 if you buy them 10 at a time. I've fiddled around with the Cisco's and a few others, but always come back to the XV LR's.

My experiences so far.

510's:
Cisco 1.5: Too hot and finicky. Everything either burnt or atty died if not juiced just right.
IKV 2.0: Finicky. It either hit just right, or crackled and popped with next to no vapor production.
Cisco 1.8: Love it. HUGE vapour production with minimal loss of flavour.
Joye 510 LR: Holding it's own. Better than the two listed above.

306's:
Cisco 1.8: Works better than the 1.8 510. Even better vapour production.
Joye LR: Sucked! Plain and simple.

I've settled into a sweet spot on hardware that I'm using, and what I've found is that every different mod performs differently with different atties. Here's what I use on a regular basis.

EGo: Cisco 510 1.8 or Joye 510 LR
Omega: SLB 901 1.7 LR
Grand: Cisco 306 1.8

I've got some Mega dual-coils on order and will give them a shot on all 3 mods as well.

Moral of the story: Try out all different kinds until you find what works best for you.

Ive been using Joye LR 306's for the last 6 weeks and they have been great! I just started on my 3rd one so they havent been lasting incredibly long, but I get good vapor and great flavor. I did try cicsco 306 1.5ohm a while back, but I was still pretty new, i killed them both within a 2 week period. I am pretty sure, looking back, I didnt keep them nearly wet enough.

I like them both, rj1. I've had finicky atties from both...and great atties from both. Seriously...the one thing I like more about the ciscos is that they're marked on the bottom. My 306 2.0s have the ohm stamped on the bottom so I know what it is. We buy our Ciscos from Avidvaper.com and the Joyes we've purchased from Puresmoker.com and VaporKings.com

Don't assume that all attys at a certain ohm (like 1.5) are the same. I got some LR 1.5 attys when they first came out, and they were so hot that the tiniest inhale sent a blast of searing heat directly to the back of my throat. It was like inhaling from a blowtorch. So one night I was chatting with some folks in the old Reo thread when we only existed as a thread in the Suppliers Forum, and MX seemed confounded that I didn't like LR 510 attys. He suggested some different attys at 1.8 and 2.0 (sort of like folks are doing here). I tried some. They were ok, but I wanted better than ok on my Reos. I kept reading about attys. Then I tried the EM 1.5 atty that I got from Rob and Wow, it was great. You see, I respected MX's knowledge in our community and realized that 1.5 might hold something for me if I just tried the right one. I figured Rob carried EM LR 510s for a reason. If you haven't tried the EM LR 1.5 attys from Rob, you might want to consider them. Now, the Joye regular attys seem just kind of weak and a bit cool in comparison. It sounds like you are up for experimenting, just don't miss one of the obvious attys not mentioned so far.

I'm off for a week's vacation tent camping in an area so remote that no cell phone even works so I'll be off line until next Monday or Tuesday. My 3 Reos go with me, of course. It's a women's music festival that I have gone to every year for over 30 years. My biggest problem, besides worrying that I won't have enough batteries, is the self feeding and over flowing with the heat (high 80s and low 90s). I just hate it when I waste so much juice (and, yes, I have reducer tubes on all my Reos). Yeah, I just read about the O ring trick for that, but with luck, we will be on the land before any hardware store even opens. It is an 8 hour drive and I have a car adapter for one of my chargers to charge on the go. See you all in a week.

I tried 10 EM attys when I started vaping. 5 SR for my Joye 510 that I started with and later 5 LR that I used on my Grand.

The SR ones worked well enough on a Joye 510 battery. Dripping was best and I wasted way too many hours of my life trying to get carts to work consistently. That frustration led me to buy the Grand.

Of the 5 LR attys, one was FABULOUS. The other four can burn in Hell. They sucked.

If EM has gotten better or returned to what they once were, as I have read, that's good to know. I just might try them again someday. Maybe.
