So what next?

I got my Volcano ecig last week, and have had some time to get used to it. Here is what I have learned:

The batteries don't last at all, I am constantly recharging throughout the day. Yesterday I even hit a deadlock when both of my batteries were dead and there was nothing I could do but wait.

Flavors are 50/50. Ordered from strictlyejuice.com and Dr Pepper doesnt taste like Dr Pepper, A&W Root Beer doesnt taste like Root Beer. Blueberry is close enough. I love the Marl Menthol.

carts dont really last, I go through my 6 in my pcc, and then end up refilling when I get home, only to have to refill again before I go to bed so I am set for the next day. I am using the Volcano carts with blue foam mod and juice. I get a good 3 hits off it, then I dont feel satisfied after that with the vapor I am getting. Visually the vapor is nice, but doesnt pack the punch I got the first 3 hits.

All of this has helped me slow down on smoking. I smoked a pack a day, now I am down to 2-3 a day. So, I am definitely seeing results. Im sure next week I will be off analogs 100%. I can tell this Volcano is not going to work for me down the road, I am thinking of giving it to my gf so she can be introduced to the ecig world. So what model do I move to?

Here is what I want, any succestions would be a great help.

I like the size of the volcano.
I want longer battery Life
A PCC is nice, so I can charge on the go and hold my carts for the day.
A better atty? I suppose to make the carts last? And get a better smoking experience?


From what I hear the 510 is nice. But is it really a step up? And I see the PCC doesnt hold alot of carts.

If you want the size of the volcano you will be running into the same problems. You need an ego with 510 cartomizers.

They say "disposable", but in actuality the 510 cartos, with proper care, can be reused indefinitely. Actually, about any cartomizer (carto) can be reused! A couple tips for longevity:

1. Never let it run dry: I vape my cartos until the flavor seems off, then top them back off.
2. Wash 'em out every so often: I tend to use the same carto for a while, sometimes a week straight before I'll grab a fresh one. While I'm not sure how often to wash out the 510 cartos, I would think they would be fine at every 3-4 days. The 510 cartos have a full-on 510 atty inside of them, so bear that in mind when washing them.

For washing them out, you can get one of those child's medicine syringes from Wal-Mart, the little rubber bottle attachment for it seems to fit perfectly around the tip of a carto, makes cleaning them out quick and painless. I highly recommend this for all carto owners.

Yes, the batteries will last a LONG time.

I have the Riva, which is the same thing as EGO, just rebranded and a slightly bigger battery.
1 battery literally lasts me all day. And I am fairly heavily vaping, about 3-4 hits every 10 minutes.

here's the numbers on batteries
Blu = 90 mah (miliamp hours)
Ego = 650 mah
Riva = 750 mah

You don't have to be very good at math to see how much longer the batteries will last...

But they are much bigger, about 1/2 inch thick.
Kind of like a cigar, but not as long.


Also, for a smaller investent to test the waters of the 510 (Ego = 510 with bigger battery)
Just order a pack of 510 cartomizers. They WILL work on your Blu batteries.
Get the soft tip 510 cartos.
I get them from litecigusa.net, but many vendors have them.

And the Blu batteries will actually last longer (a little) when using 510 cartos, because you don't have to pull on it as much to get a good hit.

I never wash my 510 cartos and they are fine. 510 cartos will hold about 1ml of juice and are easy to refill. 2 charged ego batteries will easily get you through 20 hrs of heavy vaping.

All of you have been a great help. It looks like I will go for the Ego set and get some 510 cartomizers. I guess I will just have to carry some juice with me to refill the cartomizer throughout the day.

i know when i first use my 3.7 mods the first few are the best hits,but if you let the atty cool down they usually hit good.soon you will be able to by an atty coil.ha

I was so disappointed with the stock volcano atty, that I even went back to analogs for a few days there. Now Im back on the ecig with the new cartos. Using these cartos so much that I am running out of my favorite juice, Mountain Dew from strictlyejuice.

I have a few questions:
I want to use paypal, since I have a balance on my account I want to use. What stores sell the 510 cartos and use paypal? Also, are there any sites to get good juice that accept paypal?

That not only SEEMS true, but if you ask me it's technically true.
The Atomizer is the biggest factor in an Ecig.
So if you're using a 510 Atomizer, you're using a 510.
The battery is just supplying the power..

for me, the cartos perform the same either with the Blu/Volcano batteries, or my new Riva Batteries. They work pretty much exactly the same.


Anway, no not too many places use paypal.
Paypal made policy to not do business with anyone regarding Ecigs..for whaterver reason...I know, it blows.

But I think totally wicked uses it somehow.

+1 on the Ego + 510 Cartos! LitecigUSA is where I get my 510 cartos and they are great! I dont have an eGo (yet) as I have a home built box mod that lasts a bit longer, but the eGo is still a great product!

As for the juices, the longer you vape and dont smoke the more your tastebuds will change back to normal. All of the juices you dont like right now will most likely taste different, possibly better, in a week or 2. But, you may also want to check out Mrs. T's (dont have the link, but maybe some one will be nice enough to post it for me or you can search for it)
