Okay, i checked those out and i like the donkey boxx, but its HUGE holy moly haha, ive emailed both mamu and the builder of redsky and we'll see what they have to say about my specifications, i basically emailed them this:

has to be able to go above above 5 volts if desired (6v would be fine?)
needs a voltage display
needs voltage adjustment (doesnt have to be easy, can be a screw or anything like that)
needs a spot for hooking up a neck lanyard to wear around the neck
needs an on/off switch
needs to be a bottom feeder 3 to 5ml bottle doesnt matter to me, some where around there
needs to have 510 threading
needs a catch cup
needs at least a 2 amp horn style switch
needs to be plastic or something relatively cheap

keepin my fingers crossed

MonkeyBoxx maybe?

well his is indeed nice, the monkeyboxx i mean, but its made of wood and its over $200 YIKES

ive decided im going with an ever cool VV bottom feeder by krimson kustoms, has every thing i want and costs $100 , uses 2x14500 batts , i think he is a supplier or modder on the forum here, has voltage display, catch up, nice horn switch, its relatively small, similar to the sgt. vv army tank pretty much

my wife is going with something else hopefully however, i was looking for one for her as well so, i think i got one down but if not she'll prob get a ever cool as well.

Last I heard, Krimson Kustoms was out of the biz. It was taking more time than he could devote to it. Maybe he's back though. As for the price on the Monkeyboxx, you have some very specific requirements. I was just telling you the best device to meet them. You aren't going to get something that meets those criteria and is durable on the cheap.

yeah he took his site down, was getting swamped with orders, but ive been talking to him and he said he could make me one, here are pics of one of his earlier VV box mod bottom feeders, he said his newer models are even better though and i should get to see some pics of his new stuff over the weekend ImageShack(TM) slideshow - Evercool VV Bottom Feeder

I know what ya mean about durability and reliability when it comes to price, old goats stuff was pretty cheap but would last me 8-9 months at best before break downs started happening, but for the price its good as im kinda poor right now haha. Krimsons mod is made of the same stuff pretty much and will cost $100 -- what do you think? Would you guys pay 100 for this mod in the pics or no way? If i could buy a monkeyboxx right now im not sure id get one for a while, his website says the item isnt for sale? its just an example? or do you need to get ahold of monkey directly for an order?

it is pretty basic . Imo not worth 100 but close .Id say 50 bucks but that just me if i were building them. Im sure he has overhead though with being a vendor and such.

From what I remember about those mods there wasn't anything wrong with the quality of the parts. I'm not big on plastic boxes though. They tend to develop stress cracks eventually. Now if you could talk him into using one of these I'd say cool.

Oooo nice, i like that idea, i will suggest it too him and give him the link and see what he says, thanks mick!

yeah id actually like a bogger box, its just 159.99 w/ shipping and hes got some pre made ones in stock, but it would limit me pretty bad if i got that one for myself this payday anyway since im also buying the wife one for $140 :) And she comes before me so, i usually get stuck with the lesser stuff, not to say james cant build or nothin, its just the plastic im not too fond of either but i do like his design and his features, if theres like an extra $10 for using one of those aluminum boxes id gladly pay it, we shall see

What sorta tank is that? or is that some kinda tankomizer? where did you get the tank and tip?

That one looks like the Smoktech and the tip is one of the Dream Tips from PS. That's their picture they published. I personally don't like those carto tanks as I have had them crack and the cartos perform poorly.

Wowzer NickZac that thing is Oouuugee hahah not sure how id look with that around my neck, but it looks very nice, i like the tip as well

They have a Mini which is neat in that it seems you can add as many extensions as you want. This means you can go from the Mini only using a 18350 or using three extensions can use a 18650 + Kick!.

yeah i hear those provaris are pretty sweet, or is that the legacy ur talking about? or are they the same?

only thing i dont like about the provari is that its not a bottom feeder haha, im a real fan of those bottom feeders, and not a fan of cartos at all.. infact i hate their existence haha j/k the tanks look cool though

i ended up going with a mod i found in the classified section, thatick sold me his str8tek mod, a real beasty, i figure i'll use that mod at home and use my goat when im on the go , or ill prob upgrade to a krimson kustoms VV next month and replaec the old goat finally

i wouldnt mind getting one of those Chalice rebuildable atmoizers by mark bugs, i hear its perfect for bottom feeders, no tank involved, but production wont be done till end of june or later

I think it would be upcoming Lavatube with 4.0 amp limit

There is discussion on here that the 4amp Lavatube is a lie. Everyone thought it was going to be 4amps but it really is 2.88-3amp. Search for a topic "Stop the presses, new lavatube 3.0 is about to hit with a 4 amp limit!"

There are also a lot of reports of some pretty big issues with those Lavatubes that were marketed as 4amps but really were 3 where they don't shut off completely.

Cant expect much from a lavatube. It is just a mass produced chinese PV . They cant spell electronics properly . It makes a ok back up but cheap quality doesnt make for a decent everyday pv.

In chinese electronics componants they dont even have datasheets.

Heres a LED comparison from chinese to a us made LED

chinese .Its bright 230000mcd .COme in unmatched bag of 100. Usually more then 10x overrated.

Us 30 page datasheet with graphs and everything. comes in bin matched tubes with each led matched to the highest tolerance in waveleghth and ma. Rated perfectly.

It goes like this with all chinese componants so if they dont know what the chip specs are from the chip manufacturer its not possible to make something that will last and work accuratly.

I bought a Lavatube to compare to my Provari. For what it is, it is awesome. But it can't hold a match to the Provari and it cannot hold the voltage stable under load where as the Provari can, resulting in a different vaping experience IMO. The build quality is mediocre. I wound up giving it to a friend who is new to vaping. Last I heard he was thinking of buying a Provari for himself.
