I keep reading and hearing from Youtube vids, that some of the older ego twists had some issues with leaking, etc. So, when I buy, how do I know which one to get? I have no problem buying an older one if you guys can confirm they work just fine, and it saves me a bit of coin; but if the latest version has an advantage, I'm open to considering that as well. I'm headed shopping here in a week or two, so I'm in no big rush about it. Thanks!

I'm not aware of any older or newer models either. I believe they are all technicallyeGo-C Twists, but some vendors may just call them the eGo Twist since that's what most people refer to them as. I have purchased all of my eGo batteries from CigNot, and haven't had any issues. She has great customer service, and probably the fastest shipping of any vendor I have worked with to date.

I've been window shopping for the wife and I've noticed they already have look-a-like knock-offs.
Some sites will let you know if it's genuine, but how many won't?
I will end up paying the extra few bucks and make sure the wife gets the real deal from a authorized distributor.....link

Yes there are some knockoffs made by other compaies.
I'm waiting for good independant reviews to see if these are better, worse or equal to the Joytech eGo-C Twist.

there is also a KGO VV coming out this week that has a display. It is longer than a Twist, but with that too...I'm waiting for the reviews to see if it's good or not.

The one thing I know is that my "official Joytech" Twist performs well.

The twist is just the battery. You might be talking about the clearos/tanks that are leaking.

Be prepared in case you aren't expecting it, but the Twist is looong!

I got a Twist at Rocky Mountain Vapor when they had a sale

JOYE EGO-C Twist Battery 1000Mah - $26.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

I'm not a fan of clearos but I did pick up one of these. It doesn't leak

Vision EGO Clearomizer V3 1.8ohm - $6.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

I think you may be confusing the eGo T with the eGo Twist. The T is the tank one, and yes have heard it leaks. The eGo Twist is a variable voltage battery in a holder which is one unit and just the battery, no tank.

The Twist is generally well reviewed here but the above price is quite high for it. You can get it for about $20, look for sales and coupons. I don't buy them any more, but never paid $26 for one, so search a bit more. Just google it LOL.
