Hi y'all. I'm about to get an eGo-C Twist as a backup battery, because it's so cheap (I use an iTaste vv3 on a regular basis). I know the eGo-C Twist accepts pretty much any kind of topper you can put on it, but I was wondering about the specific eGo-C atomizer, does it work on the eGo-C twist? I'm asking because I have an eRoll, which uses the eGo-C Type A atomizer, and I have some extras of those which are going unused, since I really don't use the eRoll anymore, and I had thought about maybe getting an actual eGo-C atomizer and assorted paraphernalia that go with it, to use with this Twist. Is this possible, with this particular battery?

Thx!

While the eGo-c atomizer/tank will work on a Twist, there is, imo, a better match that also uses the same type A atomizer head as the eCab. And you're best going with the standard ohm atty head rather than the LR. It's the eGo-cc clearomizer:

https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egc-cat-all.htm

The design with the top airway is nice - it eliminates any leaks around the batt connection. I've had no leaks on these:

eGo-C-C-Joyetech-1000mA-ecigarette-clearomiser-clearomizer-grossiste.jpg

.... and the older eGo-c system can tend to burn easily - more maintenance with making the right punch on the plastic tank, keeping the wicking in the right place, etc. etc. There's a few 'tips and tricks' way back in this thread for the eGo-c....

I have had no burning problems with the eGo-cc, but with the Twist, start low and dial up to the sweet spot for your flavor. You will need a thin tip on your eliquid bottles - many have gone that way now but they're available at cignot as well.

A few tips.... the manual shows filling from the top. That's wrong. Fill as shown in the above pic. Also when unscrewing to fill, you can sometimes also unscrew the "atomizer head cap" (see above). Doesn't happen all the time but I always check that it's tight before screwing the top back on after filling. If it's loose, then the head unit sometimes doesn't make contact.

Cleaning is simple - just throw the head unit into some high proof vodka for about an hour. I don't recommend dry burning with any eGos.

Ok, so when filling, the part that actually comes away should have the actual atomizer showing, rather than that head cap that covers the atomizer...? That loosening sounds a lot like what happens with the coils in the base of a T3S, you always have to make sure those are still tight, too.

I have a few needle-top bottles, but they're crap, they always leak around the cap when *any* pressure is put on the bottle. So I got a luer lock syringe and blunt needles. The needles I have now are 14ga, would those fit? I'm going to be ordering some 18ga, first of next week, but I really like the 14ga, they're so fat it makes it fast. Mainly getting the 18ga to make it easier to put liquid back into dropper-top bottles without having to pop off the dropper tops; some of them don't go back on easily, or at all.

I guess now I actually have a good reason for dry burning a bunch of these Type A atomizers. Now that I've done that with some T3S coils, I'm not so frightened of it. :D The main thing that scared me about dry burning was that all I had was an eRoll, and that's not quite the same as having a regular battery with a button you can pulse in 2 or 3 second intervals.

Thanks for the tip about that ego clearo; it does seem like a much better option than the original ego thingie, which IMO looks kinda cheapie. How much does it hold? I'm looking all over that page, but it doesn't seem to show the capacity of it anywhere.

Thx!

The atty and cap should stay together only exposing the place where you fill. But, the cap can come unscrewed, very similar to how sometimes the atty unit in the T3S can. I always check them too - tighten, before screwing on the tank.

I've had problems with some of the metal needle tips as well. The ones from cignot are plastic tips - not a problem so far.

Yes.

You can of course. You'll see a few posts here on not dry burning with eGo's though. I don't recommend and vodka works well for me.

It holds @1.4ml. I prefer the T3/T3S for the larger volume, but like you, I had Joye heads left over from the eGo-c system, so I got a few of the cc's. I run them on the eGo-c upgrade batts 650mAh so it's a nice compact pv for going out, etc.

I looked all over the place, but that $14.50 is the best price on those I can find anywhere. For a plastic tank, that's just too much, and I know it's because it says "JoyeTech" on it. I think I'm gonna go with a black MT3S; since I already have 2 T3S tanks, it makes it simpler, and discountvapers has 'em for $5.99, a considerably savings! I'll just hang on to the type-A attys for the eRoll, to make it a really complete starter kit for some convert to vaping. It worked for me! :D Later I might go ahead and get the parts I'd need for the original cone/mouthpiece, just so it's a complete "eGo-C Twist" thingie; I've seen the various bits here and there, for varying prices, some of them very cheap, and that would make dry burning those type-A attys much simpler.

But there's no grain alcohol in my house and never will be; recovering alkies here, 21+ yrs, so that's not an option. I discussed with several folks in the eRoll thread soaking them in 50% isopropyl alcohol, 50% purified water, and then rinsing extremely well and giving a very *quick* dry burn, to remove the last traces of alcohol; it vaporizes much more quickly than water. The ones I first started with are in pretty bad shape, though there are also a handful that aren't too bad, and I have 3 sealed ones I haven't ever used -- got the iTaste the same week those got here, and I seem to only grab the eRoll anymore if I have one of those cravings where I need something like a cigarette in my hands -- it really helps, in that regard.

Understood. So you know, the MT3 tanks are plastic and the eGo-cc is metal with a plastic window.

That's fine, I've been extremely happy with my T3S tanks, except when they leak, dagnabbit all to heck, so I figure the MT3S will probably be just as good, and the black one will look pretty spiffy with the black eGo. My regular vape is just a Virginia tobacco flavor, so no need for anti-tank-cracker precautions. I'm mainly buying the eGo as a cheap backup, but also as a "go out and about" device, since it has much better battery life than my 800mAh iTaste -- it's fine at home on pass-thru charge, but starts to drop voltage pretty quick off the pass-thru, the way I vape. :D
