I'm at a crossroads here ever since I've notice these SOCC coil units, so I think I'll need some opinions and know-how here. I'll list my setup here so anyone feeling helpful can gain a better understanding of what I use. *clears throat*
  • I use Kanger Protank II glassomizers
  • I vape mainly at 4.2 volts
  • 70pg/30vg e-liquids
  • At the moment, I use "KangerTech coil unit for EVOD/Protank/Mini Protank/Protank-II/Mini Protank-II/Unitank clearomizer" so, I guess the standard?
  • I use 2.2ohm single coil units
  • I don't dryburn
With all of the new technologies out there nowadays, I consider myself to be a pretty minimalist vaper. :tumble:

Lately I've been having some consistency issues with the standard Kangertech coil unit. Not once have I ordered a package that didn't have at least 2 duds which include but are not necessarily limited to; wicking issues, inconsistent flavour, nasty burnt flavour regardless of how long I allow the e-liquid to wick etc. When I last checked one of my go-to sites, I've noticed they're pushing these new "SOCC" single coil units. I'm not very in-the-know about how these work by comparison (or much of anything else, since looking at all of these setups and mods gives me a headache), hence this thread.

So, to sum this all up: Haaaaaaaalp!!
