What would be the optimal material for a soldering tab? I have a great spring loaded 510 but I'd like to add a tab. Thanks

I think most solder tabs are tin plated brass. If you are fabricating your own, you could just use brass. Polish it up right before soldering, use flux and it should solder up fine.
Yea found the Varitube ones for .015. Can't beat that really plus the 510's they have look pretty sweet. Might have to make one real quick anyway. I'm a sheet metal guy so fabbing one would be no problem. Thanks

I made mine from a .016" brass feeler guage. Easy to solder and great conductivity. 
I ordered from Varitube about a hour ago and they've already marked it being shipped!! Lol I'll probably make one anyways even though I have 10 coming lol

Varitube neg tabs work well and flow solder with proper flux and solder. I have had little success with FatDaddy's neg tabs...
510's not as good as FD's. Sorry. They work but kinda flimsy. Very low profile though...
I have 3 of them and they work great. There is a difference between the first one and the last. The last one has a much stiffer spring and a delrin threaded section.

I bought some of them as well and they may have a use one day (in a low profile mod), but can't compare to FD V3s.
