I started vaping at 5v from the beginning, but i am weirdly attracted to the ego with a lr 306. both look funky to me and i like it. basically my question is: is it a better buy to get the ego kit or buy 2 higher mah batteries, 1 cone, 1 charger? are the standard batteries that come in the kit sufficient (1 full day) for a moderate-heavy vaper with a low resistance atty?

Also, since the 306 is so small, i heard it has issues with the cone and that a possible solution is to get an ego ac adapter. has anyone tried this? does this work just as well as not using the adapter?

I really like the eGo with a LR06. I only have 1 batt, a 900mAh one, but I get a good 12 hours out of it. I vape about 2½ml a day. I can go 16-17 hours on 1 charge but the vapor production does drop off over those last hours so I avoid that.

Someone needs to make an eGo friendly drip tip for the 306. The standard tip is a little thin and short with the cone but I always use the cone with it. Instead of getting the tip to rest comfortably between the lips you only get a little over half of it in. The airflow into the cone can get blocked if you don't.

I have read that the Riva 901 cone is shorter and works well with a 306 and have 1 on the way to try. I believe the opening on the Riva 901 cone is a tiny bit wider as well but there is already a gap between tip and cone using the regular 510 cone so I doubt that'll be a big deal.

An eGo with a 306 is a good and pocket-friendly unit. Nice vapes and the taste is really nice.

I have used the 306 with the AC charger adapter I got with my Tornado kit from Totally Wicked. It worked well. The adapter is the length of the cone and the the 306 threads into it, just barely exposing the connector. Used a drip tip on the 306, no problems. I never had an issue with 306 or LR 510 on my eGo batts, but I had problems on some 16340's in a screwdriver, they tripped the protection circuit on the batts.
