i basically swap out ce4 clearmizers often as I am trying out new liquids

seems some of them are starting to taste pretty bad--to the point i can't even figure out what juice is inside

i'm not messing with the ohm voltage settings too much so i don't think that is the cause

do i need to swap out the insides of the clearimizer? havn't really used them that much--but also i don't clean between refills of different liquids

Resistances in clearos (and others) last between 1 & 3 weeks depending on who you ask.

Depending on your clearo you can either just buy and change the resistance or have to change the whole thing. Not sure, but I think ce4 is the throwaway kind. You can tell if you can unscrew it to remove the resistance or not.

Clean them out. I rinse with hot water, then I pour 80 proof vodka in and shake. Blow out well and leave to dry several hours or overnight. It also depends on the juice you're using. Tobaccos and mint/menthol flavors linger, so I would devote one clearo to each of those flavors. Dry burning is another option, look for a video. I don't dry burn as I don't use clearos often.

So you are saying the bad taste is coming from bad inaards--coil etc...? They still are providing tons of vapor.

I have spare coil/wicks for these ce4's. Ive only gotten about 50 puffs out of each of them--

sounds like you might be "contaminating" the wicks with different juices. the flavor might just be a big jumbled mess in there at this point? maybe try rinsing the wicks between flavor changes?

hi yes that could be it--I've never cleaned a clearo before--i will try it

thanks

I haven't messed with a clearo for a very long time but it's pretty easy.

Pop off the drip tip (or unscrew)

Fill it almost completely with water

Thumb over the top, shake vigourously

Pour out, then repeat several times, until the water starts looking clear

Finally, once all the water is as drained as you can get it, put it back on your battery and hold down the fire button until it auto-stops

Repeat this until your wicking starts to look white again. A hint: you will notice the coil under the little plastic cap inside the clearo start to cherry red, this means your pretty much cleaned.

Refill enjoy pure taste again.

Note: there are some Youtube videos you just got to sort through the promos on alot of them.

I have removed the coil/wick parts --it is replaceable and I have spares but I want to try cleaning the old one first.

this--dry burning process I can do without the outer plastic housing--right? because i can screw the coil/wick unit into the battery without the casing.

BTW the wicks don't look browned--they are still white--
