Been vaping for a while, and as with many of you, gone through a whole bunch of hardware as well as done a lot of experimentation. Also, made more than my fair share of expensive mistakes.

Decided to go to a higher voltage, and tried the other tube AV. Turned out to be a nightmare: 6 days to get an answer from their CS on a defective product on arrival, terrible batteries (3 v 400 mAh's on a big tube mod-a joke), and dumb, condescending answers when there were issues. Let's see if I get some of my money back and when.

Got a Little Sister-good little product and great support (had missing parts as well as defective charger, but were taken care of promptly and without problems). Want to go up in mAh. I just don't like box mods esthetically, but want to stay with the adjustable voltage. Actually holding the LS for a friend from Europe but am allowed to play with it.

As far as I can tell, the Buzz CS seems to be very good, but after my experiences with the Joker, I have concerns about heat dissipation with adjustable voltage PV's. So far, I have been vaping between 4.3 and 4.7 v. Any unused voltage will get turned into heat-that is the reason, IMHO, that the Joker gets supplied with only a 3 v battery. It gets really hot at 3 v. It would scorch you at 3.7.

With an additional 1.4 v from the bigger batteries from the Buzz, my concern is how well the Buzz can handle the extra heat.

Your insights would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the Joker. I hope you have more luck with that company than I did because I found out the hard way that they don’t stand behind their products.

I bought a Buzz a few months ago and have been very happy with it, no problems at all. It performs as advertised and I have consistently gotten all day use with the batteries. Never had a problem with heat. My volt range is between 4.2 and 4.8 and it does make a big difference in how the juice tastes.

Notcigs service is second to none. I am sure you will find others who will say the same.

I feel for you tonyorion, I have also made some vaping choices that wer not necesarily great ones for me. I wanted to try AV and chose the Buzz as the reviews seemed to be very positive. If I had known that my preference seems to be about 3.31V (I have a great meter an awsome ECF member made for me) I probably would have not chosen to try AV as it seems to be wasted on me.

makes me understand why my Buzz sometimes feels warm, but I can tell you mine has not ever felt uncomfortably warm to me and that is at 3.31 v more or less. I am sitting here chain vaping to see how warm I can make it get but even putting it against my face it feels warm but not even close to hot.

I have only had my Buzz about a week and have had no problems what so ever so I can only tell you one of the reasons I chose the Buzz was everyone raves about Notcigs service.

Hope this helps.

The Buzz can get hot, but since it is an aluminum tube and the heat sync is incorporated to that tube the heat isn't an issue. I've had mine hot, a bad atty, or cartomizers, a shorted coil, so on. Each and every time it worked just fine once the failed part was removed, it was never the Buzz.
I did have to send mine in once and it was repaired and returned the same day notcigs received it. All emails get responses, questions answered, no problem.
The Buzz has satisfied my needs.

I can also give 2 thumbs up for the Buzz. I own three. I also had to send one in for repair. I did the 510 cap change on my own and managed to twist the wire a little---after a while it broke--so sent it in to repair that.

I have owned the following PV's. Ego, wetbox, little sister and the 3 Buzz's. The little sister is a fine mod. It however is not the Buzz. The Buzz is built to last. I have put mine thru the works and she still fires for me everytime. And as stated before the customer service at notcigs is second to none. These guys will help you night or day--honestly one of the best companies I have ever dealt with.

I will always own a Buzz. I know I am not even looking for another PV. I love it. I have not had any of the heat transfer issues. The tube does get warm, but to me it more due to my hands than the electrics. I say go for the buzz--if you decide you dont like--PM me...i will take it off your hands...lol

Been using a Buzz for around 6 mo. and it is the only mod I have that hasn't broke down or had a problem. It has become my most dependable pv. I have also never had one get hot on me but with the 5 way protection I don't worry. You can't go wrong with one. I use pretty much cartos on my Buzz. 510, 808, E2 ceramics, Ego, and soon the megas from Ikenvape. During the beta test I used 808, 801,510,901. and 510 cartos plus did some dripping, which I still do from time to time.

I use it with a 510 thread, set the volts all over the place. I really don't have a sweet spot, what ever works when I want it. I was into 6 volt PV when I got this and was tossing atomizers pretty fast, now I rarely turn it over 5v. Every now and then I look at the volts and their normally in the 4 to 4.75 range.

I vape on a buzz exclusively when out of the house, and I've had it get warm, but never hot. when I'm chainvaping it gets warm. I vape @ 4.7v or so, and it's NEVER gotten anywhere near hot. the cartos get hot, but the pv itself never gets more than warm, and I don't mean uncomfortable warm, just warm to the touch. as far as CS goes, notcigs/buzzkill have excellent cs, immediate responses to any issue, and for me VERY VERY fast shipping (1 day). great tech support, and I've not regretted a second, the purchase of my buzz. oh yeah, they're durable too. I've bounced mine of the asphalt a couple times, got a little ding on the brass batter cap, and a little ding from it sliding on the asphalt for a couple feet, but it still works awesome, no misfires, no issues.

I don't want to steal Tonyorion,s thread but you say that you use your Buzz exclusively went out of the house. Have you have any problem with dirt or dust getting inside through the screw hole? I have been concerned about taking it outdoors and getting dirt or dust inside potentially causing a problem.

I'm a blue color guy with an extreme job, I drive a livestock truck, (cattle hauler, bull rack) dirty job. The holes are there, yes, but they arent any bigger than any other vent holes. The adjustment hole is the only one that concerns me in this regard. Water is more of a concern to me than dirt.
Its well built inside and out, believe me. Toss it in your coat, or pants pocket and go about your business. Its not fragile at all.
This is my rationalization, my cell phone works fine because I'm aware, so does the Buzz.
