Anyone knows how or where to get the following in SG?

1. Sodium or Ammonium Persulphate
2. Negative resist developer
3. Liquid Tin
4. 95%v/v Acetone

Overseas stores are refusing to ship internationally and SG is too diy unfriendly.

I'm not using ferric chloride cos it's a bit.ch to clean up

Some guy are just unfriendly but I will help you.

1. NO LONGER AVAILABLE HERE TO CONSUMER. If you must try, near Charlton Park, there is a row of shophouse, one of which deal with chemical, they have it but will NOT sell to individual. (I have tried).

Use Ferric Chloride with the sponge method. Easier, cleaner and faster. After using, neutralise it with baking soda.

Also Sodium or Ammonium Persulphate needed to be hot for it to work...troublesome to use without a heating tank.

2. SLT - 4th floor. shop in the middle, just in front of the escalator..

I rather you use the toner transfer method. You have the lighting box for it or you going to use table light or sunlight?? Very hard to control this way...

3. French St - VERY EXPENSIVE. They sell the kit with the plating equipment. Only place I know of which sell in small quantity.

4. If for the purpose of protecting the PCB, See No. 2, they have PCB spray. But then, if you are tining? What for? Anyway, just abt any lacquer will do.

Combed the whole SLT yesterday and only manage to find Positive dev. RS singapore only has ferric chloride.

Toner transfer too troublesome. I print my artwork on 92gsm tracing paper and expose them for 20mins using my wife's manicure light as a exposure box(yes, they have UV cure nail polishes. which performs immensely better than regular nail polish). The artwork still can keep and reuse.

i like persulfates cos i can see the copper disappear in front of my eyes not to mention they are more environmental friendly and easier to manage. as for heating it i just use a aquarium heater set to 50°C in a vertical etching tank.

acetone is for removing the etch resist and the unwanted solder mask. preferably i like to etch, tin and mask to minimise any copper oxidation.
