Some newbie questions?

hello all and please bear with me as I looked over hundreds of posts but didn't see anything about these couple of questions.

Ok just got my Janty Mini Fogger yesterday afternoon and been puffing away killing batteries pretty quickly.. Having never E-smoked before a few first observations/questions for those in the know..

1. I bought all Analog Cig-like flavors and I'm wondering if the strange taste is normal it's hard to describe sort of an oily metallic taste. Do flavors like Cherry or vanilla have this underlying taste? Could it be my Atomizer making the taste?
I have Janty Ry4 and Janty Reg tobacco in bottles for dripping and Fargo in the Carts that came with it. I also have some Kick tobacco Road and Camel 36Mg from Pure Smoker. They all have a similar aftertaste.

2. E-smoking seems to make me cough a bit when even on light draws, is this normal in the beginning? Maybe i just need to adjust... I like this idea and want to put the Analog Ciggies down for good but I'm not sure I can get past this taste and the cough.

3. A question about PG VS. VG is there a taste difference? How do I know who uses what?

I don't expect it to taste just like real cigs but this one aftertaste has me concerned.
I have an RN4081 on the way from Smokester and I'm hoping the different device may help..

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated..

Kindest regards.:thumb:

Hi I-Smokin, welcome to the forum.

I think you might be tasting the primer from the new atomiser, that taste should go away after a bit of use. If it doesn't then try washing your atomiser in hot water, dry, drip some eliquid in it and try again. Make sure you don't let it dry out when you are vaping.

You might be coughing because you are vaping such a massive dose of nicotine. 36mg is double the 'high' dose. Try lower nic juice or diluting a little of the 36 with glycerine or propylene glycol.

There isn't much difference between glycerine and propylene glycol except that some people are sensitive to pg and can't use it. Most commercial eliquid is made with pg as a base with small amounts of vg but Johnson Creek make a non pg juice.

I agree with Kate.

Best advice is simple: Keep vaping. You'll learn and adjust quickly.

Everyone is different. This forum is a GREAT source, but only you can figure out what works for you. Specifically on flavors, that's on you buddy, haha.

I never coughed, but vaping definately tickled the back of my throat for a day. It'll pass. It is different for sure. I notice "social" smokers who try vaping always cough. Harder smokers comment on the tickle. The higher nic liquids tickle much more than lower.

Are all your liquids 36mg? Hopefully not, start low, if you're still fiending, try the next step up, etc.

Again, keep vaping. You might not like the taste of the liquids now, but stick with it for a week. Analogs taste like an ... ashtray to me now, haha.
Good Luck

Eb
