Good day everyone,

I've been on the vape train for a little over 2 weeks now. I'm fully aware that there are no juices out there that mimic an analog. However, I am looking for some good tobacco flavors to use as a daily. I had heard great things about FreedomSmokeUSA and got a 15-bottle sampler earlier this week, but came away unimpressed. I'm also aware that a lot of these juices need time to rest and intermingle, but most of the samples tasted very "perfumey". I'll definately revisit them in a week or two before I form my solid opinion. From FSUSA, I tried the following:

Desert Ship
Dark Vapure
Outlaw
Camtel
FreedomSmoke
Burley
Hypnotic Mist
Fireball
7 Leaves
Sunrise
Shade
Ryder
PureCig
Wyatt Earp
Kickin' Apple (was a free sample)

Of these, the only ones that weren't too perfumey were the Desert Ship, Shade, Freedom Smoke and Kickin' Apple. Most of the other tobaccos had what I've heard referred to as a "peppery" taste. I have a bottle of Perique from Nicotine Nirvana (also had their Bourbon St. "Bacco", which is sweet, but tasty) that tastes exactly like this peppery element. I bounced this off David at FSUSA and he states that FlavorArt doen't use perique, except in their Perique Black.

I've also tried: Viking Vapor's RY4 and Mar-Boh and found them almost sickingly sweet. Unfortunately, I bought a 15 ml and 30 ml (hadn't stumbled upon the advice of this forum yet), which will probably go bad from neglect.

Lastly, I've had Volcano's V-juice Tobacco (pre-filled and Chinese in origin) and USA Premium Tobacco. I like the tobacco flavor of the V-juice and absolutely LOVE the USA Premium, which I'm told, is almost identical to 555. The person advising me of this didn't mention the vendor though.
I did find a local Smoke Shop that sells some non-branded "Tabak", which is also very similar to the USA Premium and is currently my daily, but also $12 per 10 ml.

Vendors I plan on checking out in the near future are nhaler and BackwoodsBrew. Any suggestions out there would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I do not like FreedomSmokeUSA either. They use Diacetyl in their products which is bad for you anyway. Here is the BEST tobacco juice I have tried (NOT PERFUMEY OR SWEET)

VapeRite.com: APV Tobacco (they say aguave, prune, vanilla but it litterly is just a tobacco flavor with no added flavors.
Perique Tobacco (Best tobacco I've tried. Bold but smooth pure fresh tobacco flavor right from the tobacco shop)
Organic Tobacco (not quite as complex as the other 2. A little like a wet cigarette but its good)
Honey Tobacco (this tastes like Fresh dried tobacco with fresh honey from the forest added to it. Very good)
HaloCigs.com: Freedom (at first it tasted like a "mini cigar" to me. Over the next day or 2 very slight hints of sweetness and dark complex hints of flavor would poke through. Good stuff!!!)

BackWoodsBrew.net: Applewood Tobacco (Awesome vape. Tastes like a fresh from the tree crisp golden apple. Not much of a tobacco flavor but great apple flavor but not sweet candy or jolly rancher apple. Not artificial apple, ACTUALY BITING AN APPLE)
Maxboro (Tastes just like the Applewood minus the apple. To me it just makes me want applewood)
Hunters Blend (This is good stuff. Can only be described as maybe woodsy or Hunters Blend lol)

I will leave the discussion of tobacco flavors to others.

Do Not throw away juices you don't care for. Your taste buds are changing every day and will continue to change for quite awhile. What you do not like today, you may love in 2 or 3 weeks.

Juices change as they steep. Think big pot of chili for dinner. It is good. But after it has set overnight in the frig it is awesome. That is because the flavors had a chance to meld / blend together. Hand-mixed / handcrafted juices do the same thing.

We have a Classifieds section here in the forum. Many people sell juices they do not want. We also have a PIF (Pay It Forward) section. I believe there are Swaps here too.

Thought I should share this info with you,
Happy Vaping and All The best to you in your juice search,

Paula

This is somewhat misleading. FlavourArt, the manufacturer of the flavorings used by FSUSA, uses Diacetyl in some of their flavorings, none of which are part of their Vape Heaven (tobacco) line.

I agree with you 100% on BWB's Applewood though - great vape.

Be sure to smell the vapor - do not go by taste alone. Let some vapor waft out of your mouth so your nose can catch it on the inhale. Most of the actual tobacco "flavor" is in the aroma. Your tongue can only sense sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami (msg). Cigs bathe you in their smoke but ecigs don't - you need to let your nose have some.

Desert Ship from FSUSA is the one I used. Reminded me of a freshly opened pack. Nutty and a bit pungent which is typical of a Turkish blend. I would change it up by adding other ejuices - chocolate, vanilla, oRYental 4 (light caramel tobacco). My vape heaven is a tobacco with chocolate or cocoa in it. Most cigs have cocoa in them as well as something a bit sweet (honey, sugar, brown sugar). I could get a lot of interesting blends with Desert ship. I would just add the mixer flavors right into the cart or carto depending on whether I wanted it darker or a bit sweet. Now FSUSA also has Cocoa which is a stronger non-sweet flavor and I love adding that to tobaccos.

My other fave Turkish blend and my first all-day vape was Backwoods Brew Casablanca (complex Turkish blend w/ some cocoa) and I still vape it but I like to kick up the cocoa with FreedomSmokeUSA Cocoa

FSUSA Switchblade - I think it's only available in 50/50 but it seems to me a bit like Desert Ship but with a rougher more peppery edge to it?

You might try any of the extracted tobacco juices from VapeRite - no additives or flavorings, just tobacco. Very tasty & very smooth.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered a couple of their organic flavors to try. Boysenberry and VR4 Tobacco. They're also sending a 3ml sample of Banana Nut Bread. I like the idea of less chemicals for sure. I'm fairly sensitive to chemicals/dyes etc and have had a few rash break outs from a few of the juices I've tried.

All the chemicals in analogs didn't bother you?

Quite possibly they were which is why we feel so much better when not smoking analogs. In the case of analogs, I wasn't getting nicotine oil absorbing into my skin though. This was only a problem with one of the higher mg juices I tried from what I can tell.

Very true! I wish I was one of those people that had a severe allergic reaction to analogs. Maybe it wouldn't have taken me 100 years to quit.

I always wonder if you have a tendency to be allergic to one thing, if you're more susceptible to becoming allergic to a lot of things. Or if people with food allergies have more of a problem with PG. I'm bugging my sister to try vaping but she has lots of allergies so she might be better off starting with VG.

Who knows. I guess it's one of those things you have to try first to see.

I don't know if you've tried Gourmet Vapor before OP, or if you seen the advice on another thread but you can use utahrocks as as a coupon code to get 50% off. I took advantage of it to buy 5 more 5mL bottles of liquid just to try out different flavors. At $2 a bottle, it's a win win situation. That might be a good place to try some new flavs out? Maybe not? I guess I'll find out in a few days :D

I usually always exhale through my nose for that very purpose...

Sweet... Desert Ship is one of the few that I liked. I'll definately check out the Casablanca... looks like BWB will be my next flurry of tryouts.

Thanks for the tips!

I haven't, but was just there today checking them out. Read about them on the electronic_cigarette subreddit. I might just have to take them up on the 50% off! Thus far, I haven't saved a dime by quitting smoking... (Magma kit, Inferno kit, extra attys, tons of juice, Lipton Tea, Fluval filters... lol). Thanks for the pointers!
