First off I'm looking at getting Kanger's KBOX 200W TC Box mod. I am currently using the KANGER SUBVOD Starter Kit and I know the batteries will fade fairly fast but the tanks are great. Getting one of each color lets me color code my flavors and should be able to be used with pretty much any unit that's 510 threaded. My local vape shop guy feels I'll be ok but may need to remix my DIYs. Is this over-reaching or is it just going to be a learning curve thing? Also interested in any opinions on the KBox 200w.

I'm also looking for a good set of recipes for DIY juices measured in ML not drops or weight. The search engine just gives too many results. Drops are just too inconsistent and for weighing I just don't have the scale to do it.

Lastly for now anyway, I need a good DIY juice calculator, preferably web based, that can also adjust current mixes, flavor and nicotine wise. Sort of a reverse engineering system.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Most DIYers post their recipes by %. If you use a DIY calculator you can translate that into mls.

As far as finding recipes you can google your favorite juice and see if anyone has developed a clone of it. For example: vape diy recipe one hit wonder muffin man

Or you can search some DIY recipe sites.

Probably not the answer you are looking for, but I would recommend you drop the $30 (or less) and get yourself a nice 500g x .01g digital scale. Mixing by weight is so much faster, easier, cleaner, and more precise than using messy syringes and having to wash them, and leave them out to dry every time you make a mix. I, and many like me, have made the switch and never looked back.

Well my preference is ml but any advice is welcome and will be considered. I'm pretty much open to anything anyone has to offer. I was raised that to learn one should close mouth and open ears, lol. Thanks everyone for your helpful posts so far.

I too mix by weight and use eJuiceMeUp .
And here's the instructions if you still want to mix by volume.
@Bruce C, whose flavorings are you using? TFA, Flavour Art, Capella, Flavor West or someone else or a mixture?

I haven't yet done much combining flavors, which was why I asked for recipes for which I thank you for all those links. That was exactly what I was looking for.

As for which companies I have mostly TFA, with a couple each from Capella, Flavor West, and LorAnn.

I do have a nice digital scale buried in storage that I used to use for weighing up 1lb packs hamburger and mixing salt for my salt water fish tanks, odd combo ikr lol.

Here is a link to a table on Lorann: Best Lorann Oils Vaping Spreadsheet - 2014
Not all of their flavoring are safe to vape with.

Here are some threads you may like to read through for different flavoring companies. Many of the posts include recipes and comments about a specific flavor.
  • The Flavor Apprentice (TFA)
You could also consider posting a new thread in the DIY E-Liquid Forum and mention what flavors you have and see if anyone can give you some recommendations on what you could mix.

Also check out:

+1 @ suprtrk
What I find useful along with being web based, is that I can bookmark my recipe and save them. Using the browser bookmark manager allows me to save all versions/old recipes, in as many folders I care to make. You have a choice to make your recipes public or private.
Cloud storing is the way to go.

I like the "E-liquid Calculator" app. While not nearly as expansive as the online one that everyone recommends it is adequate for me and I like the convenience of having it in my phone.

I realize using phone apps is the trend and "modern" way to do things but 3" screens are just not my thing. Phones are, for me, just phones. But thanks for your input!

I've used that one also. Did I miss a way to use this one to reverse engineer a recipe. As in I have 28ml of a flavor mixed at 5% flavor and want to know how much flavor concentrate to add to bring it to 10%?
There are-- I forget-- 5 or 6 different calculators on the link I posted, from simple to complex, one of which allows you to remix existing juices.

Edit: the answer to your question is implicit, however. If you have 28ml at 5%, it contains 1.4ml of flavor. Adding another 1.4ml would bring the total volume to 29.4ml and the flavor to 2.8ml, or 9.5238%. Adding 1.5ml of flavor would bring the totals to 29.5 and 2.9ml, or 9.8305%. That's about as close as you can measure it, without some pretty specialized gear...

LMAO Yes I have been doing the same by hand calculating you demonstrated. I just would rather at this stage be lazy and let some calculator do the work, and also minimize any mistakes by me. When I received my last order of flavors I had intended to make 5ml of each at 5%. However, because it was late, I was tired, and semi-braindead, I mixed 30ml of each at 5% (thank god I didn't start at 20% like my first batch). At any rate I'll go look and see if I overlooked something in those various calculators. The one you linked to (I've only used the simple one so far) is my favorite so far.

Hope it works for you. I'm no expert, but we have those around here. Sing out with more questions when you have them.

I like e-juice-me-up, but it's an installed program for Windows...
I like how you just "save as" your recipe, and can keep them in files/folders in familiar fashion.
If I was gonna use an online tool (not an app) I'd use the one on Steam-Engine.
(note: click "flavors" to add them. and click "nic unit" to change from % to mg/ml)

The problem with all these calculators is they all need me to tell them the ending total of all ingredients, which in my case that's kind of what I need it to tell me. I have a starting point of 28ml at 5% flavor and 8mg/ml nic and need to have it tell me how much flavor to add to get to 10%. Sadly none I've seen so far can do that without me telling it how much I want make. The point is that's the one thing I can't tell it accurately. Looks like I'll just have to keep doing it the old fashioned way lol.
