What we do KNOW.

There are NO 3800mAh 18650's on the public market.
The best in the world right now are a claimed 3.4Ah, and only deliver that at 0.25C discharge.
Ultrafire does not, and can not make batteries, it's a guy named Kai and his buddy who shrink-wrap the lots of factory reject cells with various shrink wrap labels that claim various things. They get the reject cells at the cost of the recyclable materials worth.

With protection circuit ?

Not on this end, only a metal cap spot welded flimsily at the edges of the cell to hide it's previous life's scars from spot welded tabs...

Now why would anyone try and counterfeit Ultrafire batteries. Mine all have a protection board on the negative end. They won't do the job to power scooters, cars, flashlights, but do fine for regular resistance 3.7 volt mods (2 amps or so). I've even cannibalized the circuit board for use in mods with an unprotected cell. True Ultrafires are not great. Counterfeit ultrafires must really be crap.

A rather confusing post.

So you are saying Kai, of Kai Domain I assume is dong this?

Ultrafire does not, and can not make batteries
I guess it's kinda hard to tell what happens in China, but just for the record AW "does not, and can not make batteries" either.

Folks in the past have often complained of 'fakes', usually from eBay sellers. You'll note there was a recent rash of TF14500 Flame fakes.

One, a big vendor, after some complaints said the 'factory' confirmed they were fakes.

I have noticed there are some new, crazy high mAh UltraFires out there. That are not listed at any UltraFire sites.
