So firstly I'd recommend you to change the coil to the .6 ohm one in the kit.
The .4 can be a lil overwhelming in the beginning.
Then set the mod to wattage mode, you can do that by pressing the fire bar 3 times. Then choose normal soft or hard depending on what kind of a hit you want. But just let it be on normal for now if you don't understand it.
Then the recommended wattage is mentioned on the coil. Set it to the lowest wattage for the .4 coil that is 20w and take it up by 5w each time till you find the perfect spot.
It works best for me around 40watts.
Lemme know if you have any other questions.

OK. All set. Running at 40 watts in watt mode on normal hit. Not bad. I guess I expected a little more vapor production out of it, but it will suffice. I didn't really notice much of a difference when switching between soft, normal, and hard.

The vapor production is much better on the .4 coil when you fire it at around 60watts.
Try going up to 50 on this one, you might like it.
I agree that the difference is not much, but they're not exactly the same either. I like the hard mode because the vape is warmer from the start.

I actually stuck with the .4 ohm coil. I already had that one primed and ready to go when I made my post a little bit ago. My main goal with this kit was to avoid the ridiculous amount of leaking that my Wismec D30 was giving me, and to be able to get replacement coils/parts easily. We'll see how a full day of vaping goes tomorrow. Thanks so much for all the help guys!!

Well i have been using the same kit for a while and haven't had any leaking whatsoever.

Anyway enjoy the new kit.
Happy vaping! :)

Well, I've been using this kit for several days now. Overall, it's pretty good. Unfortunately, I have multiple leaks coming from between the battery case and the bottom of the tank. I give up. Seems like they all leak. So frustrating.
Well that's very unfortunate.
What liquid are you using?
Not to say it's the liquids' fault but considering that it has leaked on you before on other attys and tanks... Maybe try changing your liquid.
I swear I've been using this with 70/30 and been handling it very roughly and i haven't had a single leak incident.

I don't know the set you are using, but when I use bottom airflow tanks, I've had leaking after a while. A couple of things that helped me were:

When parking the tank overnight or longer, turn off the air flow, remove the tank from the mod, take a couple of unpowered pulls, and set it tip down in a little cup with a paper towel to soak up any drips. A cover from a laundry detergent or similar works well if you clean it up first. If your tank has a juice control door, closing that helps too, but remember to open it again before you start using.

After a while, there can be some condensation in the airflow area on my Melo III. The upside down trick works pretty well, but sometimes it just needs to be taken apart and cleaned out.

If you can access the coil when you are filling, or when it's low on juice, it might help to make sure it is tight. Sometimes they come loose, and will whizz all over everything.

I use a top air tank most of the time (Nautilus X) and don't get leaking on it. It is more of a MTL tank, and has its own issues, so I wouldn't say ditch all of your current tanks for a Nauti X. Try and learn the ones you have for now, and wait to see if something else catches your eye down the road.

Sounds like me with my NEBOX, I love it, and, at first I had the leak problems so commonly reported with it but, not while storing it or, carrying it about, only immediately after vaping on it.

Two mistakes I was making - stopping my draw as soon as a let go of the fire button - vapor I did not get out of the mod condensed in the air tube and, thus leaked. Vaping too fast and heating the whole tank too much - juice thins when warmed - that make it wick easier, thus over saturating the wick when it cools - leaks again.

I was careful to not overheat the tank and, to draw a few milliseconds after releasing the fire button - leak stopped for good. a year later, neither of my NEBOXes leak one bit.

NOTE: NEBOX is plastic tank but, I have used banana and butter flavors in it and it has not cracked or clouded at all. I do avoid citrus, hot cinnamon, soda flavors and, sour fruits with it. Might be fine but, I don't like those flavors anyway, except cola and, not taking chances.

Thanks for all the input, guys.

For juice, I've been using the totally wicked red label or freedom smoke 50/50 juice.

I took the whole tank apart last night and cleaned everything real good with hot water. Sort of "degreased" everything. That was at about 6:00 last night. I've not had any leaking since then. I did remove the tank and store it on the mouthpiece last night as well. As suggested by someone a few post's up. I'll keep an eye on it today and report back. If I can be leak free, then this kit will be great!

I love the Baby Alien. Been using one for a couple of months now.

You will need more than 2 batteries though. The Baby Aliens are power hungry little monsters. Depending on how much you vape, the ohms of your coils and the mAh rating of your batteries, expect 4 hours max out of them.

I would have no less than 4 batteries and ideally 8 with a 4 bay charger to keep up with it and give your batteries time to rest between charging/discharging cycles.

Just to point out, I just got almost 3000 puffs of my alien see [emoji102] pic....and this coil is two weeks old and it isn't even the [emoji223] coil!! Live the mod, dropped it over and over, but I do have a firm yet soft case made from a Teflon like material now(thrift store). Got a few nicks here and there, lost screen protector but I'm cool with that. For the $, the TFV8 can't be beat, smok makes it neat, to vape, it straight out da bottle, those who agree holla!!##richie rich

Do you keep it lying down or upright? Sometimes my tanks leak when it's lying down.
