Just because you can make a super low resistance coil like that doesn't mean you should ...

Seriously though, throw another wrap on there at least and see what happens.
Couldnt agree more ! Lower doesnt always mean better .......or safe . I try to stay between .8 to 1.2 and have aw imr batts and 2 cent safety fuse in my mod. Not trying to tell you what to do man but 4 or 5 wraps would be better than 3 with 28g wire and will vape great and be safer :)

Should add that I have only wrapped one coil at .8 and that was after having my 2 cent safety fuse and will stick to 1-1.2 ohm coils after noticing diff in juice taste after trying it.I think 1-1.2 is perfect IMO.

Are you checking your ohms every time you wrap and also checking your batts when they come off charger and after awhile of use? Not trying to come across as preachy just wanna make sure people are being safe :) I only ask because it seems of late that whether its RBAs or DIY juice folks are just jumping in head first and safety should always be number one concern.

I have no idea of your vape knowledge so I hope you dont take any of my questions or opinions the wrong way.Just want to help you out and others who read this thread :)

All of a sudden the coils I've been building tonight have been catching fire.and not just one but all three and not just once either. A few times with each. What's going on? It's reading at about .06. Using 28 g kanthal. Three wraps. And wicks are saturated not dry. Pleeease helppp
Is your resistance really 0.06 or is it actually 0.6?

This is why all the sub ohm stuff worries me so much. Someone that doesnt have the experience is going to blow there face off. Or someone with the experience is going to torch there hair lol

Same as some people who still insist on spraying ether directly into the carberator, my buddy from years back never did grow his hair back, lol. Of course cars and carberators are still around and not banned, hmmmmmmm.

Sorry not on topic OP

Too much heat. When you get well into sub ohm you'll need a lot more air flow, otherwise there's really no point in going that low. And I'm not talking about a 1/16" air hole, you'll need to go to like 3/32 or 1/8 or even adding a second hole. Then you'll be blowing those huge dense clouds & will have to drop nic down to 6mg. Pay much more attention to your batteries. Direct lungs hits are a must. I built one the other day with 5 adjustable holes at .8 ohms. It was amazing to see but not really my everyday day cup of coffee.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the help. Going to order a safevape fuse and start adding another wrap or two. Only been building coils for a month now and with thirty two gauge kanthal.

I think once you add safe fuse and extra wrap you will be much happier and safer :) You also need to get multi meter if you dont have one .I got mine for like 4 bucks at harbor freight tools.

drifter from my experience no less than 4 wraps with the 28g to be safe and I agree on the multimeter. I don't use every single time. but do whenever trying a new wire, wick material etc. to help me understand where I'm at. I also start with an extra wrap or two as it's easy to remove if I want to.
