It will work on both. The only difference I can think of is that you on the zmax you'll be able to adjust the voltage/wattage as each coil ages. On a mechanical you're stuck if the juice you're using doesn't taste good at that voltage.

ditto to this....another thing i'll add is that if you get a short you have the potential for FIRE AND EXPLOSIONS on a mechanical mod....you are fine using it on your Zmax though, i actually prefer my RBAs on a variable device

thanks elmattis for pointing this out, i was not aware of this fact and have an iHybris and a precise plus coming so i will have to order some 2 cent fuses.

If you prefer simple, there are "mechanicals" out there with built-in short circuit protection. One I have is The Boss from SmartVapes Vape-Boss Mod. Not a bad deal at $35

The Boss Mod (while an awesome mod) is not a mechanical mod. Mechanical means no electrons, not even the button. And 99.9% of the time, no wires.
