What is a Humbug candy taste like? I want to make it and there is variety of ways to do it. I want to know the traditional way! Is it peppermint or menthol? Oh gosh can someone help me?

If I remember right Humbug candy is the style of candy not a flavor. There are a ton of flavors. Basically Its a sugar candy with flavors of your choice. I remember there was cinnamon, apple, caramel for a start. but I remember those because I like those ones.

Thats all I got.
I remember this candy because we were poor and mom made it cuz its cheap and went a long way. Poor Poor Pitiful me.
