Hopefully, the UK Public Health Dept, will get in on the talks in the EU, and
change the wave of regulation that has been going on.

This is pretty shocking... Usually Governments are not very logical..

England’s health service just came out with the biggest endorsement yet of e-cig safety.

Health officials in Britain have publicly endorsed e-cigarettes as an efficient and desirable way to reduce the health risks from smoking and to encourage smokers to kick the habit entirely.

Public Health England, which runs the National Health Service in the largest of the U.K.’s four nations, said that a review by independent experts had found e-cigarettes to be around 95% less harmful than smoking, and said popular perceptions that they were as harmful, or a gateway to more harmful cigarette smoking among younger users, were plain wrong.

That didn't stop the UK government arguing in support of Section 20 of the European Union's Tobacco Products Directive during the court case brought by Totally Wicked against its implementation.

(Section 20 specifically relates to ecigarettes and liquids - nothing over 10ml or higher than 20mg/ml... No tanks over 2ml in capacity... tanks must be leak free and tamper proof... All hardware must be submitted for approval six months in advance of going to market, etc.)

Public health England does not run the NHS in England they are an advisory group within the department of health and while they have a lot of influence normally their positive report on vaping is unlikely to lead to anything. Day after their report was published the anti brigade were out in force discrediting it with both the British medical association and the lancet both attacking it. The grounds they used to attack the study was completely stupid but it home so while the study was well done it has been made to look like a biased proposal.
