Something Wrong With Me?

Recently, I ordered some premium e-liquid from Five Pawns. I purchased a 30ml, 18mg bottle of Gamit and a Castle Long. I based my purchase decision on numerous glowing reviews and the company's stellar reputation and, I do like to experiment with and try out different e-juice flavours; that's part of the fun of the vaping hobby. As much as I tried, I just couldn't like either of these juices. I tried different wattages and different devices, I don't drip, and I simply could not vape them. I'm not dissing Five Pawns, they are well known and respected and I'm sure that they produce a superior product, but the two flavours that I vaped made me almost sick to my stomach. Am I weird or are there others who don't find their taste appealing?

Did you order them directly from Five Pawns or a reseller? If the latter, it could be a batch that sat around too long.

Outside of that, some flavors don't agree with people. I know some tobacco flavors make me sick to my stomach, but others don't - and were not talking about flavored ones. Maybe it's the Whiskey that's in it...dunno.

Well, there might be something wrong with you, but this particular "problem" will save you a lot of money.

A favourite saying around here is that taste is subjective. I liked both of those juices at first, but after a while, I kept getting this weird sort of nasty taste, even after I changed the coils and whatnot. There are a lot of people who don't like FP here on the forum, so you're not weird

I've read a lot of reviews of Five Pawns in various places and not all of them are glowing. I haven't tried them myself, but they seem to have a distinctive flavor. Not everyone goes for it. They are kinda pricey for the gamble. I could never see myself taking the plunge unless I could test out a few flavors in a B&M first (but that's just me).

Yup, we pretty much have to buy U.S. juices from a reseller here in Canada. Canada Border Services likes to stop nic containing e-liquid at the border; at least private citizens' orders. I've lost two already. Don't ask me how resellers get the stuff into the country , but I'm glad that they do. The Castle Long was bottled on 28 Nov 14 and the Gamit was bottled on 5 Dec 14, so I don't think that its a stale batch issue. As I said, I'm pretty sure that its not a juice problem, but my personal palate. It's disappointing because I was really looking forward to this vape. I tend to really like tobacco flavoured juices, so maybe I need to stick to that category.

Don't feel bad, wesson. I've tried four different Five Pawns juices and they're just not my taste. Don't get me wrong, they make a high quality juice, no doubt about it. The flavors are complex and you can tell they were well crafted. I didn't dislike them per se, just not enough to actually purchase them and vape them from start to finish.

I have a friend of mine who can't get enough, though. It's all he's been vaping for the last two months, I think!

I am with you. I hate 5 Pawns, disgusting base in all of their juices. For me of course, it is subjective.
