I just wanted to introduce myself . I am some what of a noob to vapeing i tried to start on a ego twist with kanger pro tank mini about a year ago. that quickly fizzled out as it was not enough for my needs. at that time i didnt know anything about mech mods or box mods or rda's. so i quickly went back to analogs. Then the Brick and mortar boom hapend in my area about 5 months ago now on my 30 min drive to work i pass probably 4 or 5 vape shops. so when i noticed them poping up i stopped in and picked up my first mech mod witch was a black Maraxis & a Stillair clone w/ VTC4 batt. Fortunately i never looked back to analogs. since then i have been learning nonstop building coils and tinkering with my mods and attys. I am a CNC Machinist and Programmer of 5 years so you can see how this quickly became a hobby and not just another addiction. The rig i currently use is a FU-Hattin mod from original batch of 100 #100 W/ a Mutation X RDA W/ a .15 build on it. Because of my work i am very interested in building my first Box mod. looking to rival the hexbox mods. So that is why i have joined this forum in effort to learn as much as possible about building box mods and soon follow I will be designing a RDA. It kinda really does make me sick as a machinist to see the quality of work that some manufactures put out there and most consumers would never know the difference when they use inferior materials and techniques. Cant wait to jump right in! HELLO EVERYONE MY NAME IS JOSH!:D

Welcome Josh. My suggestion on building a mod...bottom fed like a Reo Grand with a DNA40 board. Hard to beat the bullet proof quality and machining of a Reo but it's purely mechanical and coil build controls volts/amps more or less. As far as RDA's, yes there are some rough ones but most clones I have can't be told from the originals and the price point is 1/10th in some cases. Concentrate on the box mod first!:)

Hello and welcome to the forum Josh. Glad to have you here!:)

Personally, I don't build that low using a 30A CDR battery. Not enough headroom for safety for me.:2c:

If you are interested, try browsing around the Modding Forum. Read all the "stickies". You will not be able to post over there until you get in your first 5 posts (and the server updates at :25 past the hour). However, you can read all you want.
