Looking to use a tank, clearo, or rba for my mech mods. Have only used rda's since I started Vaping.

I've been vaping for a while but started using rda's with mech mods and that's all I used as of today. I love my rda's and mods and tinkering with different builds but I am looking for something that can hold a good amount of liquid while im driving or out and about without having to drip all the time. I would also want to use my mech mods if that's possible with any of these.

I really do not know about any of the 3 so total noob. I only have messed with RDA's. I wanted to get any suggestions on what type I should get and why?
And also what would work good with any of my mods. I have a Nemesis, Caravela, 4nine, and a Stingray. I use mainly Sony VTC5 and Samsung 25R batteries.

I might also buy another device instead of a mech mod if I really have to but do not want to.
I would prefer something I could get on FT.

Thanks Guys. I hope I wasn't to confusing on what I am trying to do.

This may make things a little clearer for you.

RBA: ReBuildable Atomizer (drippers or tanks)
RDA: Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (no tank)
RTA: Rebuildable Tank Atomizer
RTDA: Rebuildable Tank Dripping Atomizer
BF RDA: Bottom Feeding Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (a REO uses this)

1. If you get a high wattage devise the only clearomizer I would consider would be a Nautilus (a 6ml glass tank with airflow control) with a BVC (bottom feeding coil) or maybe one of the Aerotanks.

2. For a RTA consider a Fogger or a Kayfun. I own are a couple of Foggers (v4.1 & 4.4) by Yi Loong. Love my Foggers for their airflow (they have a glass sleeve and are dual coil capable). I also have a Kayfun Lite+ v2 by EhPro. The Kayfun has a steel tank (as well as a PMMA insert). It is a single coil but the draw is tight compared to the Fogger.

3. Another RTA you might consider is the Squape-R if you like an airy draw. I don't own one but have been looking at them.

4. I also have the a Big Dripper (it's a RDTA). Steel tank, lots of airflow.

5. For a high wattage devise you might look at the iStick by eLeaf (20watts), the Cana or Cloupor (30watts) or IPV (30-150watts).

Susan~S,

Thanks for the definitions and reply. I'm actually thinking of an RTA, probably the ones you mentioned. I like the fact that I can still build it the way I want. This may be the answer to my problem, gonna do some research and probably put in an order this week! Not sure I want to purchase a high wattage devise yet. RTA's look like the way to go for situations when I can't drip.

Also wondering, will they hit the same if I use the same build I use on a RDA?

I'm probably not the best person to address this question as I am not a low sub-ohmer. I'm sure someone else can better address this question.

Here is some additional information on the Fogger in this thread from the other night: Orchird 2.0 or Fogger 4.0???. I provided links to videos as well as links to threads if you are interested.

Here is a link to a review on the Big Dripper (an RTDA) as well. The Big Dripper RTDA. I bought the clone from 95Vapes a couple of months ago.

RDAs and sub ohm didn't even exist when I started using mechanical mods. So the answer is YES, you can use most anything you want on a mechanical. However most of those other toppers will not produce the same vape as your sub ohm coil in a RDA.

Many take a different rout, and use a RDA on a bottom feeder mechanical like the Reo. The tank is in the mod instead of the atomizer.
    reosmods.com
Others will find a KayFun type topper will satisfy their needs.

I found my "sweet spot" a long time ago with an old 510 atomizer, and just use more modern methods now to produce that same vape.

Those Reo's look awesome. But im probably not gonna spend that much just yet on a mod. I might convince myself later in the future though.
I like my sub-ohm builds also but I dont mind the vape not being exactly the same as long as i don't have to worry about dripping while out. Plus sometimes I don't always want to blow huge clouds, ie while driving or in a crowd.

I just ordered the fogger v5 and Kayfun. And gonna research some RDTA's.

    Thanks for the replies!

I have a fogger v4 and while it does pretty well (air flow control ring removed) it still doesn't match my dripper. Also it has a funky taste sort of metallic. I have cleaned the hell out of it and am going to try wicking with rayon before it goes to the bone yard. I really want to check out the new squape reloaded. I might try drilling out the air holes on the fogger but that will be a last resort. My other thought is to try upping the nic on my juice to get a bit more of the hit from a rebuidable dripper that I am looking for. Will have to wait until my 60mg/ml nic comes in so as not to change the pg/vg/flavor ratio as much.

Not sure how much more tinkering i will do before I say fark and buy a REO
