They may be the best sub-ohm batteries in existence if you consider capacity, amp rating, and cost. I currently have Samsung INR18650-20R's, which are confirmed to be one of the best available, but I would buy the VTC4's if I needed more batteries. I really want to see a comparison test with the Samsungs.

I've been rocking them for a while now.
I think I have about 10 or 12 of them.
I've taken them to pretty low ohms and they are solid.
They seem to blow away my aw and mnke cells.
Maybe it's just me, but they seem to hit harder.
Even the vtc3 at 1600mah seems to hit harder as well.
Loving my vtc cells.

Anybody use these batteries in a regulated APV? Was thinking of getting some for that use. Then if I wanted to get a mech mod in a few months, I'd already have the perfect batteries. However, the place I was going to order the batteries from says this about them.....
Safe for sub-ohm and/or microcoil builds. Just like the VTC3s, these batteries have been tested for safety under extreme stress. Sony was able to make these batteries last longer while retaining the "High Drain" characteristics. Although you can use it for VWs, remember that it will only last you half as long and since your VW will limit the output, you will not get the full potential of these batteries.

They would work but you can get the 3400 mah panasonic batteries for regulated devices, they would work just as well, and would last way longer.

Is there any high drain 18650 at this capacity? Several regulated APV's with higher amp limits should not be used with protected batteries.

Efest 2104 Purple 2100mah IMR 30A batteries are now available too.
I picked up four of them - so far so good :)

The Sony VTC 4 IMR/hybrid is the only other 30A battery that I know of with a 2000+ mah capacity.

For the price and availability - I think those are the top two contenders right now. I haven't found any specific tests published on them yet.

All the 1600mah IMR 30A (Efest, Sony VTC3, MNKE, EH, etc) will be obsolete soon.
Same with all the 20amp limited batteries. Although ones such as the Samsung INR 20R and VTC3s are still excellent.
There are a few ICR 30a batteries with higher capacity - but they are hard to find.

I believe LG, Panasonic, Samsung all have some IMR/hybrid 30A 2000+ mah batteries out or coming soon - but they are not as readily available as the new Purple Efest and Sony VTC4.

Given that the AW and Samsung have still been outperforming all of the last wave of 30a batteries I doubt they'll be obsolete any time soon.

AW 18650 1600mah?
Which Samsung? The INR20R 20a 200mah?
How are they "outperforming" the newest batteries?
You mean against the likes of MNKE 1600mah 30a, EH 1600mah 30a and the Efest 1600mah 30a ?
If so, I agree.
I was mainly referring to the VTC4 and the new Efest. And any 30a battery with over 2000mah capacity.
I'd love to see test results on those if you found them. Thanks.
