Seems that the Sony VTC5 is pretty popular around here... Where do you guys buy them for a good price? I'm a little weary about ebay/amazon for batteries. Also, how about the Nitecore d2 charger? Is this a good charger or should I consider an Efest LUC v2? Any recommendations on reputable vendors to buy these products from would be appreciated.

I have the LUC and a Nitecore I4.

The LUC has been a good charger. No issues in the year I have been using it. Same goes for the Nitecore.

As I understand it, the new Nitecore D2 uses the same charge algorithms as the I2 series chargers and only adds the nice digital Volt/charge display to the already good charge circuitry.

Sorry, I don't know how (or if I can cross-link a post, I put this up somewhere in here earlier)... Dragon-Vipes.com confirmed with me they still have authentic VTC5s. They are mislabeled on their site as "VCT-5". Maybe that's why they have stock when everyone else seems to be out? Search misses? I don't know, I'm grabbing a couple while I wait for Fasttech (also confirmed genuine) to ship in TWO MONTHS!!! =)

Amazon is where i got mine , awesome and checked thoroughly , VTC5's 2600 mah , first off do you know how to tell authentic's from fakes ? Amazon has verified sellers and easy returns , i would not buy off Ebay though unless you had someone confirm they did business with the seller and they are legit .

I just wanted to post a quick follow up on my Sony US18650VTC5 batteries I just got from Dragon-Vapes. I ordered a pair on the 4th and they were in my mailbox the 6th (mail from CA to NM, USA). Charged for almost four hours on my intellicharger i4 and then right into my mech mod and IPV2 to try out. I am getting better vapes with a 1.5 ohm load at 7 W on the IPV2 than I ever got with my old crap batteries on the mech mod. Which should not be the case. 3.7 V into 1.5 ohm should be 9.2 W, but it wasn't! My old batteries were just crap and now destined for the recycle heap. My mech mod is really hot with my 1.5 ohm builds and way too hot with attomizers I had built around .4-.5 ohm. I digress, these batteries are awesome and Dragon-Vapes was super quick to get them to me. I highly recommend these folks!
